Andrew Rice
Do you struggle with chip shots from the fairway around the green? If so, Andrew Rice has a great alternative to the wedge to help you get up and down more. Use a hybrid and play a bump and run to start hitting closer.

Excellent!!! Makes perfect sense. Love your stuff.
Thanks so much Steven!
I have used a 5 hybrid out of thick rough NEAR the green if I have a good lie.I hit it like a putt and let it carry onto the green and roll out.
Sounds good Terry!
Are you trying to land it o the green and then run or simply "putt" it and let it go?
Approach it like a putt Joe!
Like the idea. I tend to use a 9 iron for that situation and the same techniques. That way I don't have to worry about hitting on the toe as you described for the hybrid.
If it's working GH keep doing it.
Andrew, Great lesson! I often use my hybrid when my ball comes to rest against the collar of the green, but never thought about 6 feet or less. How about a lesson on getting shots out of the collar around greens. Always love to watch your videos.
Much appreciated Tom! Thank you.
I played a course that watered a lot in front of the greens. It is winter, so mostly very thin grass. Many of these shots are 6’-20’ from the green. Is the hybrid bump and run still a good option? Any adjustments if I cannot land it on the green.
It's ideal for when there isn't much grass around Sam. Try it.

Thanks Andrew, would never have considered using the hybrid in that way but will now give it a go - yes I get a bit anxious with the wedges that close
I have a long putter because of the yips. I am afraid the rescue club would result in the yips as well. Thoughts?
