I often feel that only using my rt hand results in more consistent results. Now with your suggestion, I'll try "resting" my left hand at the grip.
It's not against any rules to use only one hand while putting.

Great tip, I have been good about getting my weight forward but still had some chunks, keeping my head from going forward has helped with mor consistency in solid chips.
