Blair O’Neal shares two simple keys for longer drives: better shoulder tilt at setup and more width in the backswing. Put them together to help launch the ball higher and create more speed.

Your shoulder tilt tip is, I think, the best-ever Golf Pass tip so far. I thought I was tilting my shoulders but your sliding-down-to-the-knee move showed I was only half-tilting. Only had time to try three drives on the range before my game today but all three were great. In the game I had my best driving day in memory, with most drives going higher and netting out about 20 yards farther than before. THANKS for a great—and easy—tip!
I like most of your tips but not a fan of making fun of amateurs. It's an easy lazy joke for many commentators. Don't fall into this habit.
Do you think about turning your hips slightly as you bring the club back on your swings to increase distance? It looks like you do it naturally. My instructor teaches me this along with the tilt.
Thanks. Watching your swing in slowest replay (.5x) your swing speed is amazing and mostly a blur. That said, I admire your extension. (no kisses): lead arm on backswing, at top, down swing. Can't stop to see elbow-wrists on or at contact but could stop to see followthrough your arms are straight --wow-- at target. Head steady.. And in post contact, lead leg is straight and perfectly vertical, Now I'll adapt to 72 y/o body and play but this as always helps.
What are your thoughts about whether to break your wrist vs. keeping a stiff wrist position at the top of the swing? Thanks.
I like the tip to move your hand down. I’ve just sort of tilted my upper body but had no real position point
Thanks for the tip Ms. Blair!
So if I’m left eye dominant, do I line up square ?
