Sugar Bush Golf Club

Man this course has made great changes with the new management and the course seems to be on the way to it previous condition. Staff is very friendly and the service was impressive. The greens were in great shape and you could tell they have good irrigation and have taken care of them. Oh and brand new super nice golf carts.

Worth a drive, this course has all the required necessities. The course is in decent shape , and the greens are ultimately unpredictable and slow (they were wet both times I went).

I heard they had new management so I gave the course a try. It was a bit beat up last year, but overall it was in better shape. I recall this was a pristine course years ago, and it would be great to get it back to that level.

My biggest critique is the staff.

The service isn't terrible, but its never been over the top, in my opinion. I play in a league at brookledge and EVERY single staff member goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. The kind of service that makes you want to come back. Having one person run the bar, snack counter and check in desk at times is inconvenient. Prices are fair, but I'd pay more for top notch service.

Overall, has great potential to be a really nice track, and yes, I would recommend it.

Clear they aren’t or can’t put money into course. Huge pot holes throughout course. Paths need replacing. Keep your head on a swivel when driving course as u could hit huge holes or stumps. Layout nice and so are greens.

Haven’t played since high school, should have left it that way. Unfortunately I won’t be back, just terrible all around. Over a 5 hour round, and on top of it it doesn’t look like they have done any course maintenance since I was in high school 30 years ago. I’d stay away from this course.

This was once one of the best courses around. Management In the last few years have severely taken it down hill. The grape vine says they have new management and things have slowly started to turn around. Hopefully it continues and this great course will be that again!!!

Greens are great except for #18. Fairways and rough left a little to be desired. Layout is great

Tee boxes very rough. Fairways had clover and mixed grasses. Greens were good. Sand traps full of mud and no sand.

Absolutely ridiculous! 10:32 tee time. Teed off first hole at 11:40. Staff was not empathetic at all. Some terrible excuse about “their computer”. Starter was not keeping people on pace to tee off. Didn’t care what order people went in. Just sat there. Did not care about pace of play. People were on first green before some groups hit first shot. IT’S A PAR 5!!!!

To boot, fairways are in horrible shape. Looks like they might mow three times a week max.

Will never golf here again, and suggest you think twice about it as well. Total waste of money.

Great course at a great value. Very tricky greens. Can't wait to go back.

It's been at least 15 years since I've played here, fond memories. Clearly the wet spring has taken It's toll. Hopefully next time I come back it'll be back up to par.
