Fantastic course
Only one real compain5:
Range pfficers need to keep a better eye on pace of play. The 4some in front of us was so slow (20 minutes + per hole) that not only my group, but the 2 groups behind us played through them. Not necessarily the courses fault, but something the staff should be aware of.
Purgatory
I’m writing this review on hole 15. We’ve been out here for 4 and a half hours. Waiting 15 minutes on every tee box.
Greens are concrete. Fairways are concrete.
Pace of play is nonexistent.
Whatever plans your girlfriend or wife has for you is less miserable than a round here.
At least the weather is nice!
We got through two holes before it started to storm.
Heavy , heavy rains, thunder and lightning. The course was unplayable. After a hour of trying to wait it out, the rain was still strong, so we decided to leave.
The only rain check they offered was enough to cover a weekday round. Even though we paid for a weekend rate. We are very likely not going to be able to make it back to play 18 during the week, therefore we wasted money on two holes of golf
Nice course
This is a nice layout that is on the easier side. Excellent conditions from the tee to green. The rough hadn’t been cut, so there was a premium for keeping it in the fairway. The greens were mainly smooth, true, and a bit slow, but the biggest issue was ball marks. To my fellow golfers: if you are able to bend over and put a tee in the ground, or pull your ball out of the cup, then you can bend over and fix your ball mark.
Great condition
Haven’t played here in over 10yrs
Great condition of the course. Forgot how challenging it was. My guest from Canada really enjoyed it. Glad it was in great shape.
Fun layout, good greens
Really fun layout. All the par threes had backstops for an ace opportunity.
Greens rolled true and the course was in good shape overall.
Great value!!!
Only wish I didn’t run into an outing making it a 5hr round.
Nice muni short course
This is an older course that is very short. The conditions were good and the greens ran fast and smooth. There's no driving range or short game area. Some of the holes forced an iron off the tee. The 2 par fives did not allow for a driver and the layup left a long second shot. It's definitely a beginners course or a league course.
Slow
The greens are in great shape, slow but roll true. Not very long but a great old style course. Be prepared for it to be extremely slow. This course seems to cater towards a certain demographic that’s not in a real hurry to do anything. We played on a weekday morning and it took 5 hours to play 18 holes. I’m lead to believe that this is a constant problem based on the rain check policy being posted a multiple locations with “NO RAIN CHECKS FOR PACE OF PLAY” highlighted on every posting. Be good for beginner golfers trying to get more on course experience but are worried about having to rush to get out of other groups way, you will not have that problem at Coppertop
This is a good balanced overall course
I particularly enjoyed this course. The pace of play was not bad. Staff was courteous and friendly. There is a fair amount of part fours and threes along with a couple par fives. The greens are good challenge and variety. It’s good for all players leaves plenty of room to work with on the holes when it comes to the fairways.. I would definitely recommend this course for an individual or a group of friends.
Course is good for less experienced golfers
The course was in fantastic condition and played really well. It wasn’t the most challenging course, but there was 1-2 holes that were somewhat difficult Z I’m about a year into playing so enjoyed the open fairways, but wish it was a bit more challenging. All in all, it is a great course for those that don’t consider themselves experienced.
Good Course
A course you should play once or twice a year. All levels can play, just pick the right tees. Great elevation changes for NE Ohio course. Pace was slow but 80 degrees will do that in NE Ohio, some back and forth holes that will also cause delays. Greens were in good shape. Staff was excellent and friendly
