Kimberton Golf Club
About
Kimberton Golf Club, which opened in 1962, has stood the test of time. Well known golf course designer George Fazio created a nice mix of holes about 45 minutes northwest of Philadelphia. The golf course isn't overly long and doesn't feature a lot of trouble, but it's long on fun. The signature par-4 third, a dogleg right around woods, is a pretty hole and worth the trip. Kimberton Golf Club is a just good old-fashioned, Philadelphia-style golf course.

Kimberton is Just Fine
Layout has nice mix of challenges. If only the tee boxes and traps were in better condition. I probably repaired an average of four divots on every green - granted they weren’t that bad. Pace of plays was slow on weekends and the second half was the cause. but 5 hours is taxing.
Good value, Greens well kept
Good value for this course. Nicely kept. Only one tee box was a mess. The greens were pristine. The course Ranger got on us at 16 which seemed completely unnecessary as we weren’t holding anyone up. Kind of put a damper on the round and he followed us on 17 as well. It was annoying enough that I won’t be going back for a while. It does feel at times that the fairways are on top of each other. All things considered it’s a solid course with good value. Maybe the Ranger needed to flex a little. I’m not sure but those are the types of things that make people choose other courses.
Kimberton Golf Club
This was fun straight forward course. Very flat, so good for a starter. Greens were great for winter conditions. I will come back and play another round.
Great course!
One of the best courses I’ve been to this summer. Great tee boxes and open layout. You will not lose many balls here. The fareways are well kept too.
Great course
Very nice course. Well kept and managed. Overall it was worth the money your spending
Good place to come back too
Good Place to come back to. Staff is fantastic they always have some cold water stored on the course. They were doing some work on some Tee boxes and fairways so had to manage that. The course was fairly busy and this impacted the pace of play which delayed us by 20-30 minutes
Good course
First time play
Good course to practice and not too crowded
Needs grass
The greens were fast and in great shape. The fairways suffered from too much rain this year and lack a lot of grass. The tee boxes were totally lacking grass. The greens saved the course from a one star conditions rating. There are signs that they are working on improving their conditions.
Course conditions hurt the value rating.
People were friendly and the the two gentlemen we played with were great company and informative about the different holes. It made for a pleasant day despite the current conditions.
Horrible Tee Boxes and Rough
Totally not worth the price. Half the tee boxes were like teeing up from the rough / sand. The greens were in good shape but everything else looked like the staff just stopped caring about the course and because golf is so crowded and popular these days most public courses do not care how the course looks since they know people will pay. $80 for a poorly kept course is brutal.
Appreciate you taking the time to leave a review, it's such a help to small business when people share their experiences for others! Was certainly disappointed to hear that the end of your round was spoiled a bit however. We do take pace of play very serious, as we believe it's a great way to make sure everyone enjoys their day without being held up by slow play. However, you are right, by the 17th hole, even if you had fallen behind, it would not have helped much that late in the round. I will absolutely speak to my ranger and help them better manage pace of play in a more constructive and effective manner. Thank you again for your review, and we hope to see you out here again soon!
