Beautiful views
Awesome course, well maintained, friendly staff, beautiful holes and views, challenging yet fun, great value for the course you get!
Nice layout
Had a great time ! Good pace , nice layout , the only issue is the cart paths , bad shape but I enjoyed the round with 3 great guys, I’ll be back !
Surprised it’s not a CC
This course is absolutely gorgeous, beautiful views, greens and in awesome shape! Fun and challenging layout but not so much that it’s frustrating. Only knock is the cart paths need work and wish they offered cart service.
Interesting layout
Greens were kinda slow and bumpy but not so bad. Very hilly course, lots of blind shots. Some may find the layout quirky, but it's never boring.
My only gripe is that they really need to take out some of the trees blocking the fairway from the 7th tee.
Spring Hollow
The course was is tremendous condition. The fairways were perfect and the greens were also in good shape. We were basically first off at 8:50 and played 18 in a little over three hours.
Good Times!
Needed a place last minute to golf. They had reservations open so we tried it out. It's a good course.
Aggravating Conditions
Cut the grass! The greens were hairy and as a result very slow. The height of the grass just off the fairway was so high that as a result you were constantly LOSING BALLS or taking forever just to try and locate them. It was ridiculous!
Fix the darn parking brakes on the carts! They were tough to set on flat terrain and impossible to set on any and all hills. We were instructed on how to "properly engage the parking brake".It was really aggravating to have to repeatedly, GENTLY and SLOWLY push down on the top left CORNER of the pedal until you heard 2 clicks to set the parking brake. It would work maybe once In a blue moon. And forget about it on a Slope, where you really needed it.
I have played this course close to 10 times over the past 3 seasons. I normally like the course, but NOT today. FIX THE CARTS AND CUT THE GRASS!
First Time Spring Hollow
Greens very slow. Sand traps absent of sand. Fairways in nice condition. Great price midweek.
Greens need consistency
Greens full of ball marks as usual. Worse part is the greens all roll differently, some fast, some slow. Frustrating
Nice, challenging course
Players need to do a better job repairing their divots. Fun round of golf, challenges all of your shotmaking.
Spring Hollow review
Spring Hollow has a nice layout that is somewhat challenging. We happened to luck out with a 8:20am tee time and we played at a pretty good pace. We didn't have people hold us up in front of us and no one behind us. Others were not so lucky, because we saw two guys behind us who were all over the golf course. They were definitely holding up groups behind them. We were all beginners once, so this happens everywhere. Here are some of the problems I had with Spring Hollow. The car path had plenty of pot holes and cracks, not sure if this was from Hurricane Ida but it needs some attention. It was hard to find golf balls at times in the rough, I feel the grass was tall and needed to be cut. I think tee box for hole #6 had strips on the ground that needs some attention. Overall, I had a good time on the golf course, the rangers were nice, as I said earlier the layout is challenging and fun, the staff is friendly, and they had good food at the bar and grille. Definitely, visit Spring Hollow if you get a chance.
Golf carts need repair
Hilly course with a lot of blind tee shots and approach shots. Golf carts are borderline safety hazards, as the brakes did not lock on either of our carts.….worried about cart rolling away as you were hitting your shot. Other than that, course was in decent shape and the staff was very friendly.
