The Club at Rebecca Creek
About
Located at the heart of the Texas Hill Country, the Course at the Club at Rebecca Creek sprawls across gently rolling terrain dappled with mature oak trees. The golf course has had several different iterations over the years, it was formerly known as Rebecca Creek and until 2013 it was the Hawk at Rebecca Creek. There were several green and fairway improvements before it reopened under its new name. The course stretches to over 7,000 yards from the back tees and there are some tough holes but overall it's a golf course that players of all skill levels will enjoy. Trees line the fairways and there are some subtle but tricky changes in elevation. In addition to the course, there is also a driving range and practice green available.

Challenging course, needs a little care.
Had a great time playing 18 holes on the 4th of July. The course was challenging. No water and no sand but lots of trees and rocks to contend with. Greens in good condition but fairways needed mowed and the tee boxes were basically just sand. Pro shop is great, staff is super friendly, carts in good condition. Water and restrooms on course which is nice. Played 18 in a little over 3 hours so pace was good. Price was great and well worth the time.
Bring Extra Balls
the grass was so high you could not find your ball in the fairways; staff was friendly
Fun course needs better gorunds keeping
Happen to be in the area and they had an opening. The wife and I had a great time playing. The staff was super friendly and helpful.
The starter had some great tips and did warn us that it even with no water hazzards or sand traps on their course - it was easy to lose balls.
He wasn’t kidding about losing balls. We lost not less than 5 balls in the fairways simply because they keep the grass too long. As we caught up to others they all said the same thing… losing balls in the fairway was a problem. It also held things up a bit as we spent more time looking for our shot.
The cart girl came by at least 4 times, which is rare as on some courses we never even see her. So that was a nice surprise.
All in all it was golf so it was good day but I’d caution you to bring a few extra balls and plan to spend a bit extra time looking for your shot.
Nice course, great for no stress round
Nice course, not a real challenging course, pretty open on most holes, some challenging holes with well established trees, which make you adjust, to give a bit of challenge. Great place to have a no stress games, unless you put one in the rough, which is tall grass and hard to find. Pace of play is good, played a few times and have not had an issue with this. Plenty of water stations around course, nice little refreshment area before or after game. No beverage cart that I have seen during my times out there.
Lose ball in fairway
Need to mow, course is overgrown, can’t find your ball in parts of the fairway.
High fairways
I’ve seen this course on GolfNow and wanted to play it. I live in San Antonio and I traveled about an hour to get there.
Staff was nice. I was informed about the mowers being out of commission and to keep an eye on my ball.
I was paired up with two nice gentleman which was great since I didn’t know the course. First fairway and every one after we were greeted with wispy 3-4 inch grass, even in the middle of the fairway. We reserved the right to find a decent lie no closer to the hole.
The tee boxes were uneven and bare. Same rule. They were suggestions and we would tee up in a better spot.
If you’re serious about your game you may need to skip this course. If you just want to get a round in and just getting out you can take a chance on this one.
I thanked the marshal and mentioned how much better the round could’ve been with some tighter grass.
The course has very good layout and is very subtle. Staff was very friendly, helpful and relaxed. The only issue we found was The grass in the fairways was a little high, but it was explained to us the lawnmower needed repairs. It was also explained to use they do not have irrigation system, but rely on rain to irrigate and keep the grass green. We have the overall experience 3.5 out of five, and all agreed 4 out 5 if the fairways were cut.
We will definitely play here again.
Good course
Good green course except tee boxes need some work. But overall a great time
It's Green Again
Some of the grass was a bit tall, but the area had received a lot of rain lately.
Ain’t got no gas in it.
First off the parking lot is chaotic second the gentleman upfront is not very happy to see you or talk to the people on the phone. He’s talking with. The golf carts are fairly comfortable no GPS. The course is in horrid condition. I haven’t seen a course in this bad in years. The tea boxes are little to no grass on most tea boxes. Others are not mode. You could hit good shots and not be able to find your ball in the fairway. There were so many people out there. The pace of play was ridiculous zero out of zero would not recommend to anybody.
The Club at Rebecca Creek is a 18 hole par 72 golf course nestled in the hill country just north of San Antonio. The course is not in the best of shape as you are just as likely to find dirt instead of grass on the fairways. The greens and tee boxes need a some work as well. They keep the green fees are reasonably low, so I believe it is still a good value. The staff is also very friendly. There are no sand bunkers and no water hazards, but some oak lined fairways can still be challenging. Great place for beginners as most fairways are pretty wide. Nice and casual atmosphere make it worth it if you accept what you are getting.
Ashamed
Course was in terrible condition. Tees were sand boxes, fairways had little grass, greens had dead patches and ball bounces all over the place. Ownership should be embarrassed to charge those rates for poorest quality course I have ever played. Will never play that course again.
Draught has not been kind to this course
Staff was super friendly, had a couple great all beef hot dogs after the round, but I had to start off on 10 because a larger group of “members” 5 or 6 of them all were teeing off together on hole one and the Marshall mentioned a youth tournament that started at 3pm.
Fairly easy course overall, but there was a couple times I hit a beautiful tee shot down the middle of the fairway and had to take a drop because there was not much grass to be found anywhere on the course so god only knows where those two balls ended up. A couple of the greens were in decent shape, but for the most part there was a lot of dead spots leaving the greens lumpy and hard to navigate. I’d say about 50% of the tee boxes (if not a bit more) were just sand so the footing was hard to deal with.
Now having said all of the negatives, I think this course has a ton of potential. I’d love to get up there after a good couple of rainy days and update my review because I do think the lack of rain has devastated what could be a pretty nice course. I will definitely give it another shot at some point
😑
Course itself is in very rough shape…. Place needs rain and lots of it …. Aside from that the price was cheap so it kinda offset for the poor conditions, however they also apparently had a high school tournament coming in that afternoon and originally they told me I had until 3PM , then at 2PM someone from the clubhouse came out and pushed it back to 2:30 , I only got 13 holes in, and felt rushed the entirety of the day. I get it that they have tournaments, but if you’d already known about it, why continue to let people book for 18 holes knowing full well that they won’t be able to finish ?
Trash course
This is the first time playing this course. The photos on the website looked pretty decent. Upon arriving I was completely deterred from wanting to play however I still played due to driving an hour. This course was completely in shambles. The tee boxes looked like a kids sandbox that had weeds growing if they had grass at all. The fairways were worse that playing in a cattle pasture and the greens were half dead. Half of the cups had grass growing over the edges and looked to not have been moved in a long time. This course was not worth the $65. I should e stayed in New Braunfels and spent the extra $40 to play at The Bandit.
