Lewis River Golf Course

I am diabetic and my blood sugar got very low. I called the restaurant, explained my circumstances, told them my cart number and where I was on the course. The Marshall very quickly brought me some orange juice and a Coke, and shortly after that brought me a grilled cheese sandwich and fries. They went above and beyond to make sure I was OK. I was able to complete my round and I can't thank the staff enough for excellent care! The greens were smooth, rolled true, and the course was in great shape. I can't wait to play it again. I live in Alabama, but I'm in the NW often and always try to play at Lewis River!!

I live in Alabama, but visit the area often, but always try to play at Lewis River as often as I can! Great staff, good amenities, and restaurant offers great food. Since I was last here, they have added GPS mapping on the carts which is a great addition. I highly recommended this course! And one more thing, the greens were in great condition!!

Greens in great shape - rest of course in good shape. Brand new carts with GPS! Will see if new carts with yardages improves speed of play on tougher back 9 and gets round times closer to 4 hours than 4.5 or higher

The course is in great shape and the greens are rolling nicely.

The course is in fantastic shape, the grounds crew lead by Jose is doing a great job! Oosman has this course on the right track also.

Now to the bad part.

We were unfortuntate to get behind the womens group.

Dont get me wrong I love woman I am married to one.

But the pace of play was extremly slow!!

We waited 25 minutes on a hole before we were able to tee off. It took 3 hours to play 9 nine holes!

This is typical for Lewis River golf course always slow pace during the midday.

This course was flat, boring, and not kept well. The bunkers were as hard as concrete, on par 3’s we were still hitting off mats and they weren’t flat so the balls were going all over the place.

The Marshalls were also not great either. On the first 9 holes they told us to let the group behind us pass us because the Marshall felt we were playing too slow, but the group that passed us was slower and worse golfers than we were and ended up holding us and another group up after they passed us. So the round took 5 hours because of this.

There was no drink or snack cart, the back 9 was closed and you only knew that because of a sign posted when they got there.

I would not come back here and I wouldn’t recommend coming back here.

greens were fast and in great shape. so were the fairways. For early April it was great.really enjoyed it.

The crew is doing a fantastic job with the course and the guys in the clubhouse are really nice and knowledgeable and great to work with!

I made a mistake with the 90 degree rule and I own that however when I made the mistake and the Marshall saw it, he followed me very close and almost rammed into my cart. then told me I was stupid for not following the rules. People do make mistakes. Then, I proceeded to correct my mistake and decided to just stick the cart path. A hole later, I saw him following me all along the hole. When I told the couple that I was going to leave because I now cannot play freely, I think the Marshall heard me and then proceeded to leave me a lone finally. The rest of the staff were very nice but they need to realize that I am a patron and kindness goes along way.
