Eagle's Nest Golf Course at Lake Guntersville State Park

First time playing and what a nice course. Not only beautiful but fairways and greens were in wonderful shape. The course is long so is challenging. Wide fairways, no water, few sand traps. Very friendly and helpful staff. There weee not many playing so we’re not rushed. We will definitely return. The campground is nice also.

The worst place ive ever tried to play golf. As soon as you get there you are greeted by the rudest old dude ever (Craig Palmer). We paid for EIGHT people. We had 5 people actually playing and 3 riders. That for some reason caused ole Craig to lose his mind. But he let us go. We were on the range and about to Tee off and Craig and the other window licker from the pro shop came out and told us we couldnt play and to come get refunds. Do yourself a favor and go play anywhere else near guntersville. Never had staff this rude. Craig has a serious power and anger issue

This is the worst place I've played since moving to guntersville.The staff is so rude. The older man behind the counter is inexcusably hostile. The staff stalks the players and rushes them thru play. Please avoid this place. There r several other courses within minutes of this one with better views and polite staff. This was just a horrible experience for everyone.

First off the course is extremely overpriced for what it is. Not a private or semi private course so it does not have the right to charge what they charge. The greens were awful. Extremely slow and there was zero break on every hole. Weeds growing all through out the greens and course. Staff was extremely rude. Did not seem to care that I was there and acted like they wanted me to leave as fast as possible. Marshall made us let some one through because they were apparently better golfers then us. Terrible Experience

The greens and fairways are in perfect shape. I play all around and this course is in as good shape as the RTJ courses, if not better. Some area courses have spotty greens and fairways, but not this one. I was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the course.

Only complaint was they need more water on the course in midsummer.

I love this course. Million dollar views with wide open fairways and lots of elevation changes. But it’s a park, so it won’t break the bank. Staff was great. Nice range and practice green.

Exactly what you would expect from a mountain course in a state park., rolling hills, elevation changes and gorgeous views. Definitely worth the drive.

I played this course recently. It is a beautiful course with mountain too views. I booked a $16.00 hot deal which made it great.

VERY CHALLENGING COURSE WITH ROLLING WIDE FAIRWAYS AND MOSTLY ELEVATED BERMUDA GRASS GREERS. GREENS WERE IN VERY GGOD CONDITION BUT WERE VERY FIRM AND VERY FAST. SOME SAND TRAPS DID NOT SHOW ON THE SCORECARD AND WHEN YOU COME UP SHORT ON YOUR APPROACH YOU WOULD LIKELY BE IN A TRAP. MOST APPROACH SHOTS REQUIRED 1-3 CLUBS EXTRA BECAUSE OF THE ELEVATION CHANGE. VERY HARD FOR A SENIOR SHORT HITTER.

First time for this course, but it won't be the last. Had a great day of golf. If you can find it, it's a terrific course. Not too easy but yet not too difficult. Fast greens and very nice fairways. My only gripe was that the beer was expired by 4 months and they had no coolers.

wide open course. good layout and challeging. greens are deceiving but in good shape. nice views from top of the hills. would definatly play again if down there in that area.

Had a great round on a beautiful day. Greens were in good shape as were the fairways and tees boxes. It's worth the $32 they would normally charge but who can turn down $13 for a course like this.

Course is nice and in great shape. We played with Golf Now. Not treated so well by staff. Made us wait to pair with others that were late for tee time. Ran down by staff. Once we got going, we played the front 9 at a good pace. After the turn there were new players in front of us. They were slow...like at least a half hour per hole and they had no etiquette. We left the course after playing 14 holes. It would have been at least 2 hours to finish the last four holes. Bummer for us since we drove from Huntsville.

The course is in excellent condition except for the sand traps. The corse design is excellent and the course is more open since the tornado from a few years ago took out numerous trees.
