Golfer Reviews
Great course great value
This is about as good as a public course gets in terms of layout and natural setting. Course was extremely well maintained in all regards. Pro shop were super friendly. Do yourself a favor and play here. .
Great Day at Goose Pond Lake Course
The day was great for playing golf. The course layout is fun and challenging. The greens had been punched a few weeks earlier, but were healing nicely. The only negative was that the fairways were a bit long and the fresh cut had not been blown off. It was like a short rough. But all in all, a great day and will play again.
Fair challenge, nice consitions
I thought the course was visually appealing, not too terribly challenging and rewarded decent/consistent ball-striking. It’s not terribly long or tight, so big hitters can overpower the course, but you still have to deal with grass-grain and greens grain and putt the ball in the hole. I thought it was well worth the Hot Deal, and if I lived nearby, it would be in my rotation for sure. It was a nice play-in round to the far more difficult and tiring RTJ courses we played. Goose Pond is a very nice, playable course with nice views, staff, amenities, etc.
Early Morning
First ones off, course was well groomed and greens ran true. Was a beautiful morning and completed 18 in 3 hrs. 20 min.
Great Conditions!
From Tee boxes, fairways, bunkers to greens everything was in great shape.
Excellent Course with great water views!
Tee boxes, fairways, and greens are excellent. The on areas that need work are the bunkers (hard pan) and cart paths could use a little work..
Clubhouse staff is the best!
Course is in good shape
Poorly marked
The course itself was pretty nice. Fairways and greens in good condition. The problem my group had was that the course was not marked. None of us had played the course before. Not a single tee marker. We kept having to refer to the tiny course layout on the scorecard to find out where the next tee was located. It wasn't always obvious. The "on cart " information screen did give the hole total yardage, but it is not a GPS device and could not give distance to the hole. It was pretty worthless. Very few yardage markers in the Fairways. We were guessing most of the round how far it was to the pin. Disappointing.
Incredible Value. Highly Recommend
Snagged a deal for $45, and MORE than worth it. Even at the full weekday price of $65, it would have been more than fair. One of the most scenic courses I've ever played, with nearly every hole having water views. Very playable course despite all the water, and pace of play was outstanding. Will definitely be back.
