The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Orlando, Grande Lakes sits along the pristine headwaters of the Florida Everglades, surrounded by live oaks, towering pines, and palmettos. Two-time British Open Champion Greg Norman designed the golf course. He and his team focused on preserving the area's natural beauty and ecosystem. The ponds, wetlands, and mature trees were carefully protected and incorporated into the challenges of the design. The final result blends in so seamlessly it's as though the golf course had been there all along. Norman's commitment to the environment was recognized with the course's certification as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. The player-friendly layout has wide fairways and generous landing areas but the subtly contoured greens and strategically placed hazards will keep you on your toes. Five sets of tees make the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Orlando, Grande Lakes even more accessible to players of any skill level.

2+ inch fairways...

They are overseeing the course and the fairways are like hitting out of rough. I lost a ball in the middle of the fairway, despite it being bold red, because of how high the grass is. Def not worth the $100 green fee.

Not even close to worth the money

The greens are the worst I have played on in a long time. Worth about $25 to play here. The Ritz should be ashamed of themselves!!!!! STAY AWAY!! Big holes in the greens.

Not what it used to be

I've played the Ritz a lot over the years but had taken a break. This was my first time coming back in a bout a year. While I still love the course, and overall the quality of the course is good. It just doesn't meet the standards the Ritz once had. The price is a premium. There were spots of crab grass on the greens, areas of the rough and shrubbery that were unkept and some washed out bunkers. You can tell they were struggling with the recent bout of heavy rain, so low lying areas were green but higher levels were dry from watering that had probably been cut back.

I still love the layout of the course and the staff is great, but the course is hardly to the level of detail it once was. I anticipate they will rebound for the winter months. I'll return but may be another 6months or so to give them time to hopefully correct the current issues of the course.

Soaked fairways, sandy greens and hard bunkers!

I was anticipating a great course for $85 green fees, but the fairways were soaked everywhere. Greens super sandy from being aerated, and bunkers were super hard packed. My son is in the military stationed in Clearwater, FL and we met in Orlando for the day. I live in Jacksonville. Not a very good course right now. Price should have been $30 at the most.

If you can get out there for 70-80$ !!!

Good track tee boxes flat and green fairways of course impeccable, greens are typical summer. Could be cut shorter a little sliw. Over all was a good fathers day.

Had to Cancel

We unfortunately had to cancel due to severe weather in the area. The staff at the course recommended canceling the day before and informed us that we should wait until mid to late June to reschedule as the course starts major groundwork starting tomorrow. We appreciated that info and hope that Golf Now is going to refund our deposit.

Great course

The two of us played in 2 hours 10 minutes.

Nice layout. Thought greens would be faster but rolled very true.

Staff was very friendly. Definitely on the list of courses to play.

Not all that Ritzy...

The layout is a great Greg Norman design. As a single-digit handicap, it is challenging. My real disappointment comes with the conditions and price. If this were a $50 round, I’d be giving it a better review. At $250 around with a client I’m treating, it sucked! It starts at the range, very thin grass, soggy in parts and no where to clean sand from clubs and poor surfaces. Then on the course, tee boxes aren’t level on most holes and not in good shape - all chunked up and not repaired. As for the fairways, not terrible - a lot of play and infilled divots. I don’t think the over-seeding took very well. Bunkers aren’t consistent. Green side bunkers need more sand and raking. Greens roll ok, but filled with divots, collars are crap with sod inserts in parts or bare dirt. Scenery is good on most holes unless you’re staring at the ugly hotel and they’re starting to build houses in parts. Play with caution, nice place, good staff, terrible conditions for $250 round.
