The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Orlando, Grande Lakes

Played the ritz with 3 friends. On arrival found staff to be preoccupied with other things rather than the customer. One of our buggies gps didn’t work and they were very reluctant to change but eventually did. Out on the course the cart girl could have done with a personality change as she was not very forthcoming, maybe because we weren’t buying from her, but this face of thunder wasn’t expected.

Overall course was very good but off course needs a good looking at, just because it’s the Ritz doesn’t mean the staff are better than everyone else.

Take a look at Hawks and especially Grande Vista to see how staff should operate.

I played the course 3 times. The layout is challenging but not frustratingly so. The staff is amazingly trained and executed their trained hospitality well. The restaurant and bar staff were just as awesome and the food and drink enjoyable.

The course is not in great shape:. Greens have bad spots and don't roll smooth in a number of places. I played the blue tees. Sparse grass at best in a lot of places. They have it set up to play ridiculously short. Not sure why. Staff is exceptional and so was the food.

We had tee time @ 8;30am and it was a perfect Saturday with no one in front or behind. We took time enjoying the beauty of the course layout and had a great round using Taylormade TP5 ball for the first time. My playing partner is signing up for resorts membership so looks like we will be returning for more. Highly recommended.

Perfect experience! If I where to put my finger on something, it would be that the back tee boxes was missing, obviously to improve pace of play. Understandably a bit disappointing if you feel you’re up to a real challenge. So, I played the back tees anyway -)

As always course was enjoyable, Condition good.

Pace was very slow. Waited on every hole.

Could have finished at least 1.5 hours earlier.

This is one of the truly great courses in the area

Great resort course with wide fairways and impeccably maintained. It rained heavily the day before so about 4 holes were cartpath only. However the traps were drained and no areas of the course were wet/unplayable. Great day of golf.

Being here on a vacation you always look for a course that is challenging as well as competitive for your game this course was all of that. Obviously we were here when some of the grass was dormant otherwise it would have been excellent for everything. We teed off at 9:00 on a Sunday and we never saw a group in front of us and the group behind never had to wait either. The greens were very fast and had very little break but the course was fantastic, just wish I would have played better! Great staff and great time!

This was a beautiful course with great amenities and facilities. The staff was great upon arrival and all throughout the day.

The price was a little high, but it is the Ritz Carlton. What do you expect.

The Bunkers well nicely maintained and all were raked. A few of the bunkers needed some sand in them, but it is winter and maybe that will change come spring time.

The greens were smooth and fast. Not many tricky greens with slopes. Most are pretty flat and straight forward.

Overall a great course with great service.

This was a beautiful course with great amenities and facilities. The staff was great upon arrival. My only issue was when we finished and returned to the starter area, there wasn’t anyone around to pull clubs off the cart and even a quick wipe down. Literally parked and took everything off and went on my merry way with filthy clubs. As far as price, I knew what I was getting myself into when it comes to an upscale course as this is. It’s a one time thing to check off the list. Enjoyed it

I have played many times in the past at various times of year and course conditions are always top notch and the service is second to none.

If you are looking for a nicely maintained, fair golf course to play this is it. Beautiful surroundings as well with abundant wildlife and nature. Makes for a perfect round of golf.

Beautiful course. The staff couldn’t be nicer or more efficient. We really enjoyed our round.

If you get a tee-time, wherever and whenever, it should be possible to finish your round (speed of the game), especially at the Ritz....

I'am a handicap 8 player and I couldn't make it. At least sometimes, you need an Marshall on the course.

Played 7 Orlando courses this week and this was one of the best. The course was in great condition, the setting was fantastic and the service excellent. It was great value on the internet price. Would definitely recommend it to golf tourists.

From driving in to the property and leaving the property we had one of the best times of our lives and will look to come back to strictly Marriott properties for our future golf vacations. Thank you to the staff and the grounds crew for a memorable experience.

Slow pace of play. Started at 2:40 and was putting on the 18th at dark. Groups behind us couldn’t have finished in time. Course is very nice but isn’t worth the money in my opinion.
