Cacapon Resort State Park

I have played at this course a lot, the last 4 or 5 times. the pace of play has been terrible the last 5 times. to many big groups they put together.

they need to start breaking up groups into twosomes and track the pace of play more. I was a single and it look me 5 hours to play this course. Terrible

Nice course. We'll maintained. Wish I lived closer, I'd get the yearly pass for sure!

The setting is magnificent, I can only imagine how pretty it is in the fall when the leaves have turned. Set in a valley, there’s some great views, and some great elevation changes the course, a Robert Trent Jones design, offers a great variety of holes. A cool feature is the double green, of holes number four and number eight. Whole number 15 is probably 3540 feet above the green hole number 10 is a short uphill very nice part four, and then 11 is a short par five but a blind tee shot. OK, the good the bad the ugly: so many courses just don’t understand that the Starter sets the Tone, so if you have a Starter who just doesn’t want to be there, it can affect everyone’s day. The only thing cool about this Starter, were his glasses frames. The inside staff was friendly, but the guy behind the counter in the snack bar was great, and so was my pepperoni roll. The pace, it was a Saturday, so I understand things can be a little bit slower, but our round started at 10 AM and did not finish until 3 PM. Doesn’t matter where you are, five hours is too long our second round, yes, we played 36 that day, was four hours and just much better. The superintendent is making sure that he keeps the greens, so they were very nice, but a little spongy, and not very quick, but I understand you wanna keep everything Green the rest of the course was very good, except the bunkers the bunkers, especially on the back are basically unplayable, with huge rocks in them. And finally, after saying all that, I will come back, because the value is fantastic! We walked in the morning, and the price was about $48, and we took a cart in the afternoon and the price was about $63. So great value.

It was beautiful ans well maintained course. We truly enjoyed. Only problem is the the quoted in the web and confirmation email was different than the course charged. Teaoff.com needs to resolve with them.

This is a great course. Everything and I mean everything is well kept and maintained. The fairways and greens are in great condition. The staff is friendly and helpful.

It's been a couple of years since I have played here. Whatever they did since then, they did it right. The course was in excellent condition. The last time that I was there, the greens were patchy and the fairways were pretty bad as well. This time everything was beautiful and very well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Everything was great. We played front 9 one day and the back 9 the next. Only criticism is the red tees where the ladies would typically play are 5600 yards which is the longest distance for red tees I have ever played. Red tees need to be moved up.

Immaculate, beautiful, generous fairways, receptive greens and a great value.

A gem of a golf course The state should invest in a new more upscale golf shop , bar and restaurant combined with the new and improved lodge itvwill become even more of a draw for visitors, confrences, and families

Course is in great shape. Fairways are plush and greens are rolling true. As others have said, some bunkers (not all) could use some attention.

We were scheduled to play on the afternoon of July 21st but the weather was very bad.Friendlty and helpful staff got us all set up to play the next day. The weather and course was so good that we played 27 holes.

Played as a single while my wife rode in the cart to celebrate our anniversary. Great course, just missed a rainstorm. Will definitely come back!

I’m glad that brought 8 of my golf buddies there, they all enjoyed golf at Cacapon.

Very well manicured throughout, and staff were great.

Would visit again near future!

This course is always in great shape. Some tee boxes could use some attention, bunkers need so help but not all of them. Beside that a great course. I will definitely play again great views also
