Pine Ridge Golf Club
About
Pine Ridge Golf Club was carved from pine forests in central Long Island. Located in Coram, the course's player-friendly layout is a popular choice for all skill levels. The narrow, tree-lined fairways demand accuracy and the greens are fast and can be hard to read but it's not an overly punishing golf course for high handicappers. The risk-reward opportunities will test your course management and strategic thinking skills. If played smartly, you could find yourself with a birdie, particularly on the two driveable par 4s on the front nine. Several bunkers lurk throughout and water comes into play occasionally as well. You'll also face several sharp doglegs, both left and right. In addition to the golf course, Pine Ridge also offers a practice facility that includes a driving range, putting green, and a large grass teeing area.

Course is hurting
Course is in bad shape and club is not putting any money in to fix it. Bare spots all over fairways and greens. Tee boxes were bare as well. Cart paths are al dirt and roots.
Terribly managed course
The grounds are in terrible condition. The greens are mostly uneven and parts or just dirt. There are no repairs for divots on the fairways. I wonder if they ever plant and seeds on this course. Very disappointing, it's like an old house needing a major renovation. Should be gutted and done right.
Great layout, needs facelift
Course has a great layout and is designed well. General maintenance is done, as seen by workers on course, but a facelift is desperately needed as there are many bald areas around the course and greater attention to detail is needed (examples- no ball washers, no restrooms on course, etc.).
Overpriced
Golf course is an a very bad condition, faraway and green are horrible. Pay 60 for a round at 4 PM and charge me 30 bucks for the golf car. Pace was also bad. People hitting 3 or 4 times on the tees. No ranger. Never again.
Disgraceful conditions
The greens aren’t playable. It shouldn’t cost more than $10 to play at this course
Saturday AM round
I was on LI visiting some family and got the ok from the wife to go play. Pine Ridge had a nice layout, but seems they have been neglecting maintenance. Some spots on the green and fairways were in bad shape. Price with a cart is also high for course conditions (I walked so it was reasonable.) Course is very walkable if you go that route
I would play again, just be aware of what you,are getting.
Usually love coming here
But I diagnosed with with an illness the morning of my tee-time and was not able to play. I tried calling customer support for Golf-Now and was on hold close to an hour. I have been a loyal customer for over 6 years and very unhappy with the service I was given. More likely not to use this app but I do enjoy going to play at Pine Ridge.
The course was aerated but greens were fast . Tee boxes are narrow. Overall not bad.Fairways could be better.
The course could use some TLC .Then ratings would be better.
Need maintenance
I’ve been playing golf in this course many years.
Lately they did not maintain well enough all around golf courses.
Fairways were dead grass in some potions. Still cart pass were dirt ground, no pavement at all.
I believe this golf course has nice shape each holes.
If they renovate more on some parts, it’ll be much popular than now. Golfers will visit this course more often if they do renovating and investment on courses.
Terrible
Course is in terrible shape. They put no money into this corse. The cart paths are sand and to transition from grass to path you have to drive off 3-6” ruts. $35 lfor a cart! Ridiculous! Skip this one!
needs proper maintenance
I love the layout... Great challenge.
Why they are letting it deteriorate is something worth looking into
Enjoyed my round there
Despite the bad reviews on this course due to their water problem and patchy dry spots on the fairways, i enjoyed this course a lot, travelled 70 miles to play it, didn't have to wait for any groups ahead of me too. The staff and the locals was very good to me as well and I definitely would play here again very soon
Below average conditions but it’s still a challenging course
As pointed out by others, many of the tee boxes, greens and bunkers are desperately in need of attention/repair. Other courses in the area receive very heavy play and find a way to stay in good shape throughout the season. Unfortunately, in its present condition it plays like an under-maintained muni. Keep that in mind. There are a lot of dog legs and some good challenges but the conditions are sub-par. Given the other well-maintained options I will not be back anytime soon.
