Easy course to play it’s somewhat hilly if walking

Played full 18 in 3hr 22 min. Nice conditions thru out.

No frills local course . Solid greens . Was a bit busy the day I was there , but overall great experience .

Total Beginners Golf with players knowing not much about golf or pace of play, etc, Rough is punitive and many players spend most of their time searching for their golf shots instead of playing.
Spring dust off
Messed up my reservation at Bethpage and there was an opening here. Play was speed surprisingly normal. Rough was high making spotting ball difficult. The tee boxes were in good shape for a community course.
extremely unfriendly cart staff
This wasn’t my first time playing golf at this course, but when I was getting the cart ready to tee off this time, the staff had a very unfriendly and impatient attitude. They weren’t willing to explain things to us and repeatedly used a lot of offensive language. It made me feel really uncomfortable. I don’t know if having such awful staff at a public course is some kind of standard.
Death trap
One needs a life insurance policy to play here. Tees are right next to greens and it’s a place for beginners.
Horrendous pace, but that’s expected at an nyc muni.
No aeration notice. 60 bucks is steep for a short course. But unacceptable on punched greens.
Came 10 years ago and remember it being a hellscape. I think it’s worse, and pricier now, to feel the heat.

From the starter to the guy “working” the snack stand just an absolute disaster of an operation. Dont golf here if youre expecting a nice course or a quick round.
