Great course pace of play never an issue conditions at always good
Good value
Course is okay. Some serious wear in some of the fairways and tee boxes a little beat up. Greens were fine. Bunkers okay. In many areas the rough is dead so it can be tricky hitting your ball out of hard packed soil. 8th hole has some permitting issue and plays as a par 3 when it should be a par 5. The driving range is great and really nice they have both a practice green and a chipping green. I’d go back just to practice. I’d play there again if inexpensive.
Fix the 8th Hole Already.
Course was in decent condition. Pace of play was fair. Greens were shaggy, likely due to many days of rain leading up to our one nice day. Course is a good challenge until finishing the 7th hole and having to walk 1/3 mile to the makeshift 8th tee, where an otherwise stellar, long par 4 is condensed to a back-to-back short par 3. Seems to be the 8th hole setup for 2 years now. No warning from staff. No discount. It's getting OLD.
Relaxing Weekday golf
I have played here a few times now and it continues to grow on me. The weather was iffy so people stayed away so I was paired up with one other walk on. Place is in shape despite how dry it has been, we both walked which is nice on this course as it is an easy walk. The lake needs water but overall this place is worth it. Becoming a favorite 9. WAAAYY better than West 9 near by.
Decent, But Needing Attention.
Hyatt Hills should put a small plastic refuse boxes at tee locations, for tees debris. Tees are littered everywhere. If golfers have a place to put their tees, they'll keep the tee box neat. Golfers do not rake the sand traps, but they are repairing the greens now. I noted there were very few rakes on certain large traps. The 8th hole is hugely disappointing, I hope this situation isn't permanent, but it was like this a year ago when I played HH.
Short Course.
First hole: the men's white tee was same location as women's tee- much less than 300 yards. 3rd hole Par 3 played 99 yards. 8th hole, listed as a Par 4 on the scorecard was a 125-yard Par 3 with makeshift tee box in the fairway. Not a full-length 9-hole course! Maybe it can be? It's not one right now. Was disappointed.
Nice 9 hole course except for the pace of play.
Nice course, fairways were in excellent conditions. The greens were really fast and they are working on the fairway of hole 7 so instead of a long challenging par 4 along water, it's temporarily a short par 3. Hole 7 is a gorgeous par 3 that you have to hit over water. Overall a nice 9 hole course reasonably priced. My only complaint was pace of play, we started 10 minutes after our tee ti e and we had to wait on the groups ahead of us on the first 6 holes, It seemed over booked.
Fantastic for a reasonable price
Beautiful 9 hole course for the amount of traffic it gets. Best 9 hole value of this quality in central / North Jersey.
Great Value
Challenging course. Fairways and Tee boxes well maintained. Driving range is awesome too.
8th hole
Great golf course with all the play they get. Hyatt Hills can do nothing about the 8th hole. Its Cranford that is holding everything up . Stop whining and have a good time on a 9 hole course.
Decent Course- Needs Work.
A lot of patches of rough had serious divots (especially the gap between the fairway and green on the first hole.
8th hole is BROKEN, and has been broken for seemingly 1.5 years. The course should discount greens fees until it's fixed. Until then the basic 9-hole course is incomplete,
It would be smart to place small square boxes at the tee location and put a little sign encouraging golfers to place their broken tees in the box. This would keep the tee off area neat.
HH should totally black out the vista from Fairway Commons apts. so they cannot sell their apartments as "golf course vista" until golfers can play the 8th hole the way it was designed again. This could be done with black mesh. Also, it's a piece of leverage HH doesn't seem to be applying to end whatever is going on between you all and the apartments.
Nightmare
People playin in jeans. No etiquette, logjam! 9 min between tee times. No starter regulating it. A free for all. Hole 8 tee box still not fixed. Been for over a year
Still a great course to play
Early tee time, and groups are 3-4 filled. They're always mowing keeping the course in pristine shape ...
I golf here 2-3 times a week, and would golf daily if I can
Today played 9, and playing this afternoon.
Always a challenge, but fun
Isn't the course in Clark?
