Plainfield West Nine

Short 9 hole course, fairways are pretty tight and need somw work the greens were pretty good.

Course is getting some maintenance which is good!

Today it was a bit slow.

If I could recommend improving the fairway on hole 6 would be great.

Poor layout and in rough condition. Cart fee was excessive

First of all, the staff was incredibly friendly. Paid for a cart for nine holes, but they told me that if I wanna play an additional nine, I can do to pay a small upgrade for the car rental or if I use my own push cart it would be free, which makes the course great value. That said the course had a lot of work going on but was very confusing in layout and had several instances where people were playing the wrong hole. Also a bunch of people who are just lingering around the course and playing the same Whole over and over again, which I found a little frustrating. Seems to be a nice community course and there are a lot of friendly people playing.

Good points- Staff were really nice, pace of play good and greens were excellent.

Bad- some of the Fairways were 5,6, 7 &8 terrible. Probably half shots had to take from preferred lies due to no grass in patches. Wouldn’t play again until the fairways get repaired.

Second time playing here and will definitely be back. The course is walkable and you just can't beat the value. The Staff is very friendly, the clubhouse is very clean, and outside seating is great for a quick sit down snack before playing a second 9. I highly recommend playing there if you are looking for a hidden gem that combines value and a friendly atmosphere.

Great staff, and the greens are always in great conditions.

Some people had told me they played this course before so I figured I'd give it a try. I'd read some reviews saying the course was in poor condition and not to play there. Well my experience was very positive. The greens were well maintained, the fairways were in good shape as well. The cart paths were rough but I was walking so it didn't matter to me. My only beef is the close proximity to a couple houses off the course and 2 roadways that run adjacent. I will definetely play again in the future.

Friendly owners, and a nice little course to work on your game. Some nice open fairways (holes 1,2, 8, and 9) , a few tricky greens (holes 2,3, and 6 to test your putting, and a nice blind hole with a hill that rolls to the left (hole 6). Making this a nice course to practice your game on.
