Solid course
People like to complain about the drainage. It’s a known thing but overall the course has a lot of charm and obstacles. Still a great 18 that’ll challenge you.
Poor Condition
The tee boxes were chewed up and fairways dried out. Generally poor conditions but for the greens. Hadn’t played this course in 2 years and will probably wait at least another 2 years. Other than the clubhouse Kemper has done nothing to improve playing conditions. Extremely disappointed.
Decent course
The front 9 were a pleasure to play, the back 9 was not. 4 straight holes are car path only and 3 of them the fairway is pretty banged up since they have drainage issues.
Horrible
This course is horrible and waste of money. Nothing but weeds and marsh. They have the audacity to charge $67 on a weekday. To make matters worse, it appears no one is maintaining the course anymore. Years ago, this used to be a beautiful course that was well maintained. I was so disappointed andI wouldn’t play here ever again.
Call before you book
For the second time this season, I was unaware that the back nine was closed and that I would have to pay such an absurd price for a public course where I’m playing the front nine twice. Nowhere on the booking side did it say that any of the course was closed down, but it did mention that it was cartpath only. Even when I checked in, I didn’t know that the back line was closed until I was out on the course and the cart shut down.
Ripoff
Horrible for the money. 5 holes are unplayable. Charging $70 for this is a massive ripoff.
Back 9 closed.
Running a few minutes late at the turn, being that only the front line was open. It was a two hour wait to make the turn because they booked other reservations. They were overbooked, forcing those that booked early to wait at whole 10 if the front nine took long.
Not worth it
Was very excited to play this course after they finally completed renovations. Let’s start with price…$85 with cart on a Wednesday morning 8am. You would think for that price the course should be pristine. Haha not even close, holes 14-17 are basically under construction. The fairways are mud pits. The concession stand at the turn is never open and the beautiful restaurant inside is never open. Oh and pack a cooler because there no cart girls that go around either.
Go play somewhere else trust me!
clowns
Maybe someone should let people know the back 9 is closed. They expect people to wrap back around to 1 to play the front twice all while sending out new tee times to tee off. Major traffic jam and chaos. Nobody said a word about it. Starter definitely rides the short bus to work.
Back nine closed. No notice
Book this on GolfNow hot deal and showed up checked in fine but we got around the front nine OK and then the cart shut down telling us now that the back nine was closed. Nobody in the shop let us know that before we started or purchased on the app and since everybody was doubled up the front nine again, took close to three hours.
Always some nonsense going on here
Third time going here and it will be the last. Booked a round here last year and when I showed up the course was closed. How that’s possible is beyond me. This time we played the front 9 only to find out as we are driving to the 10th hole that the back 9 was closed. Neither the starter or the guy in the clubhouse we checked in with mentioned anything about it. Sending out groups on top of of other groups wrapping around the front 9. Waiting for 10-15 minutes on every tee box. Absolute chaos.
Golf is fun, we are having fun
Back nine was closed, frost delay made our tee time an hour later and we were given no notice prior, staff was not very friendly
Tee sheet stuffing
Yesterday me and my girlfriend came down to play this course. The back 9 was flooded so we were offered to play the front 9 twice, fair enough. However we noticed that upon replaying the first hole that new groups were going out. Needless to say this caused an incredibly long round. Management definitely should have refunded tee times to accommodate the situation. To me it seemed like a way to hold onto revenue at the expense of the people playing the course. Course wasn’t in great shape either. Wouldn’t come back
Average course. Not the best shape.
Decent course. Only Front 9 open even though last rain was 4+ days prior. No carts because of that (think they’re could have been carts, personally). Starter was very short for words when I had a few questions. Pace was super fast because there was barely anyone out there on a 40 degrees morning. Enjoyed the course layout, just not the best shape. Would return, but really only if the price is right.
I’ve read bad reviews and I have to disagree with them. The coarse wasn’t as bad as a lot of reviews. I definitely would play there again
