My favorite course in the county. Greens and coming back from a bizarre winter. Fairways are great
Turtle in good shape except for...
Turtle in good shape. My favorite course in the area. I travel over 30 miles just to play it. Fairways and tee boxes are good. The greens are in WAY better condition than Deer Run. Could think of only 1, maybe two greens with very small issues. The only thing I will add is the greens are slow. Need to be cut or rolled or something. Other than that everything is excellent with the overall facility as always. The staff is top notch. Aaron and Susan are great people and always look forward to seeing them at the counter when I walk in. Always a plus when they remember your first name and use it. I will be back for sure.....

What happened to Deer Run?
I love both courses at Sun N Lake. I played Deer Run 3/21/26 and the course is as good (or bad) as Indian Lake Estates. I don't know if they replaced their greens keeper or what but the greens are in pretty bad shape. I remember playing there a couple years ago when they just reopened the course and it was immaculate! PGA quality. But right now it needs a lot of help.
Poor Greens
I played this course last October (5 months ago) and it was excellent so I was very disappointed that the greens were in very poor condition. Recent aerating and dressing actually made the situation worse! It's and interesting and challenging course, generally in good shape but the condition of the greens made for a less enjoyable round. I would avoid until the situation has improved!
Not great
It had been several months since we had played this course. I was surprised at how bad the greens looked, and how dry and hard the fairways were. More than half the greens were black and dead. I know we hadn’t had a lot of rain, but this used to be such a great course.
Diamond in the rough
Booked this one just looking for something new and wow was I impressed. Great amenities, great staff and great course. At this price point I didn't expect that much... Boy was I wrong. Of your in the area you need to check this place out. You will not regret it!!

Lack of rain evident
Excellent facility and course but the winter and lack of rain has taken its toll on the course especially the greens. Tee boxes were in good condition and the fairways were, as well. Be sure to check on the rates. One day cost half of the day before.
