I've been golfing at Caister for decades even back when it was only 9 holes.

Simon and his staff have turned that hayseed golf course in a farmers field to the envy of many larger well known courses.

In many cases, the condition of the greens and fairways are superior

With super cheap green fees I wasn’t expecting much. To my surprise it was a very nice course, challenging and in great shape. Pleasant surprise

I have played here a few times. Course condition was good, I like how the fescue between some of the fairways have grown making the course a little harder. Only 2 tee blocks and they were average in care. What I like here is it’s usually a good pace. This time out we may have been a touch slow, but by the time we got to the 7th tee, the flow was very slow. Should have been 3-1/2 hours but was closer to 4-3/4 hours. The price was great via GolfNow and because of that I will return. It’s flat and easy for our 4 generations (my father, son-in-law and grandson). Great day for golfing.

First time was a good day. Greens were well kept and fairways were ok. The rough is unforgiving.. Tee off pads could use some TLC. Bring down the price of carts to $10 and I'd be there twice a week or more!

Enjoyed playing this course. Wide fairways. Good for older players. Played in less than 3 hours for 18 holes. Will play there more than any other course. Pricing is reasonable.

I enjoy playing this course. Fair but challenging. Can loose a few ball's though. Played in just over 3 hours. Good course to sharpen your game. To bad they don't have a driving range.

Good course to work on your game. Good pace of play. Friendly staff. Greens in good condition. Like playing the course.

Now i understand when golf course designers say irrigation irrigation irrigation evidently somebody did not apply this logic. There was water everywhere. I don’t think I walked the fairway. I was walking in the swamp. My plan was to play 18 holes, but by the fifth hole, my socks were soaked my feet were wet. I had to leave surprisingly I was the only person on the course and the staff should’ve warned me that the course is not playable.

I think a refund is an order as this was the worst round of golf I’ve ever played in 40 years.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Great electric carts, clean bathrooms and sufficient amount of time between tee times so round is fun and relaxed. However, the condition of the course is extraordinarily bad. The fairways consist of dead grass from NO irrigation system, except for the greens. Not worth playing in the hot summer months, with insufficient rain!
