The Golf Club at Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe

I was nervous about booking a tee time at this course based on the mixed reviews, as well as some of the more recent pictures I saw online, but was pleasantly surprised to find the course in pretty decent shape. The greens can be quick in the afternoon, but are in overall decent shape. Same with the fairways.

For the price, Margaritaville Golf Club is an outstanding value and a great overall experience. I played Panorama a couple of days before coming here, and the difference in course conditions was honestly crazy. Margaritaville is in a completely different league when it comes to the overall shape and condition of the course. The fairways, greens, and overall presentation made for a great round and a really enjoyable experience. Of all the courses I’ve played in the area so far, Margaritaville is easily my favorite. I would absolutely recommend it, especially considering the cost. Great course and well worth the money!

I have nothing bad to say about the course. Staff are nice like always. They have really put some work into this course and it paid off. Price is great! I’ve paid double this amount to play other courses that are in bad shape. I will definitely keep playing here. Such a great atmosphere and course layout is great. Makes it playable for any level golfer. But for the advanced golfers, can definitely be a low round.

From the grass on the fairways to the green's themselves, very bad shape. No plans to play that anytime soon especially for the price they charge. The one saving grace was that we played it in about 3 hours as it was a ghost town out there. I suspect others knew what we saw and have opted to play somewhere else.

Fairways better than last time but still thin. Most greens are more dirt than grass. Also bar closed at 430 pm. I thought this was a resort on Saturday

Played this course 4-5 x in the last year. These greens this time were the worse I’ve ever seen. Full of dead grass and holes. Def will not be playing this course anytime soon. Terrible

It's been quite awhile since I played this course, so I was excited to play something different than my usual course. Overall the condition of the course was very disappointing. All aspects of the course needed work..tee boxes, greens and fairways. The greens had numerous bare patches, were dry, and overall neglected. The areas around the greens were often patchy with no grass or only weeds. Several tee boxes were bare with no grass or very sparse. The fairways were littered with weeds, bare patches were poorly maintained. Everyone in my party expressed disappointment at the condition of the course and agreed we would not return anytime soon--especially considering the price and lack of discount for being Golf Now member.

The staff were friendly enough at check in, especially the young lady who worked at the bar.

Front nine in great condition; back nine, bare spots and rough greens. I will go back. Just a heads up.

Been a while since playing here. Very enjoyable round and quite nice teaming up with a local couple. The course was everything I remember. Challenging, yet hit your spots and good chance to score. The greens on the back nine need some work. Fungus has set in. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Good fun to play.

Tried to cancel because of weather.

I missed the deadline.

Won’t do this again.
