Golfer Reviews
Bait and switch
I booked an eighteen hole foursome. Upon check in with the pro shop, we were told a league plays the back nine and we were welcome to play the front nine twice. I vocalized my displeasure with the lack of notification of this situation online. As my playing partners and I had driven an hour to play the course, we didn’t think it unreasonable to expect to play the eighteen holes of the course. The nine holes we played were in decent shape, however the overall experience doesn’t warrant a return trip to play this course again. If we’re going to drive that distance, there’s better courses to play.
Great value.
Small greens and tough bunkering make this a good stop. Bunkers need to be tended to and greens should be kept fast.
Greatly improved
I decided to stay away from here about 6-7 years ago because of course conditions and pace of play
Gave it another chance about 3 weeks ago and today
They have done a very good job with this place over the years
I can't complain about the conditions other than while the greens rolled true they were slow both times
The staff is great
Golf carts can use a little tlc
Bunkers ok
The course is not easy
It is a links style course so if that's not your cup of tea you may not like it
$44 for seniors
Good deal
I will be back
Disappointed
I have played this course many times in the past - but they have really let it go. Bunkers are half grown over so they are crap and little sand. They also over watered so there was standing water and some of the bunkers were filled with water. Greens were fine - tougher to read cause they were cut short.
Drink cart girl wasn’t seen until hole 17 - and she was busy talking on her phone. She then drove around the corner and just sat there on the phone - and it was hot and muggy! When we stopped after 9 the bar was empty - went to pro shop to ask if anyone was in the bar and lady snapped back “Ian. What do you want?”
Overall poor experience and I used to like the course. You’d think it was shutting down the way it’s being let go.
Suprised
Based on past experiences I only played here when I couldn't find a time elsewhere. Reasons, course conditions and pace of play. I was surprised that the course was as in good condition as it was especially after all the rai. Course dried out nicely except for the bunkers , water or muddy which was expected. Firways were very good , greens rolled true but a little on the slow side. Fun and fairly tough layout the staff was great friendly and helpful. Pace of play ok. A foursome should be able to play in four hours or less our time was 4:20. All single digit handicaps and we waited on almost every shot Carts need some tlc
I will be back as they have upped their game when it comes to course conditions
Nice unique course
I read some good reviews about this course and they didn’t disappoint. The course is very unique in a good way. Off the tee things are pretty open and then as you get closer to the greens it becomes more challenging. Great little pot bunkers around the course. Lots of mounds lining the fairways so if you hit it offline you can have an unusual lie. Greens seem email and undulating. I live a hour away and looking forward to coming back. Couple notes, the driving range balls are very old and not good. The men’s washroom is outdated and needs an overhaul. The golf carts are older but kept up well and very zippy.
nice course slow play
I always enjoy this course but don’t enjoy the slow play. They need a ranger here to move people alone and stop groups of 5 when course is crowded. Also better spaced tee time would help. I will avoid this course on the weekends due to slow play( like 5 hr round ) slow
Windy day
Course was very challenging today. Pin positions were the hardest I ever saw on this course. Rough was tough and greens were fast.. Winds were 20- 30 mph gusting. Par 5 11th played like 800 yards being into the wind.
Felt like a final round at a major.
Plays longer than Yardage
A par 5 at 600+ yards...into the wind every time. So play the RED tees at 6200+ yards instead for a more enjoyable experience. Greens were slow but we've gotten a lot of rain lately. Hope to see that improve next round. For the price (~$40 including cart) would play again
Nice track
First time playing here, and even with it being first time out this season, and it having snowed less than a week before, course was very playable. Want to come back mid summer to see it in prime shape (and take a cart,it was a soggy walk 😀). People working were super nice and helpful. Really impressed with all aspects of visit.
