This course is in good condition for this late in season
The Meadows
I played The Meadows with three friends on 10/13/2026. This was our first time playing here. The course was in excellent shape from the fairways to the rough and bunkers. The layout is fun with a number of doglegs, trees, hills and bunkers. The rough was definitely thick. This course has numerous holes with blind tee shots, which made it challenging for us, since it was our first time playing here. The back nine is also interesting because you need to cross a road after hole #11 to finish the back nine. You then cross the same road, after #18, to get to the club house. The greens were deceptionally quick, rolled very well, and some of them were very tricky depending on the pin placement. The staff was very accommodating. I will definitely go back.
too much money
The greens were very good- the ranger was helpful- the fairways were alright. The rough was not cut and very high.We will not play there again. $50.00-senior rate on a monday morning-too much for a course that needs to cut their grass and maintain the fairways. There are plenty of other courses that are much less and in better shape.
No rules
Terrible day at the course for Labor Day weekend. Had multiple groups on the course with 6 players, including one group right in front of us. Terrible pace of play, almost 5 hour round. Ranger driving around but didn’t do anything about it. Tee boxes destroyed, no one fixing ball marks on the greens, rough definitely needed a cut. We got a decent rate of $55 for mid day round on a Sunday but the fact that prices can reach $85 at this course is insane. Won’t be back for awhile. Clubhouse is average and staff was nice but no cart girl on the weekend?? Players be warned what you will get here.
Course not what it used to be
First time playing here this year and was very disappointed , i know the weather has not been the best this summer , but fairway grass was long , not much roll out , rough was extremely long , hard time finding balls , and a lot of areas bare . Greens were alright , rolled good , but will not be back there again this year unless I hear they have made some improvements .
Course was in terrible shape.
I use to like this course. Not anymore. Garbage. Burnt grass everywhere.
Great conditions for cost, early fast play
The course was in great shape despite the storms and heavy rainfall as of late. Early tee times seem to be a key for success for faster play.
Challenging course
What a great place just minutes away from the city.
Friendly staff ! Putting area and RANGE ...
Good course
This course is ok, it could use a little work. With a hot deal it is worth it, normal pricing and weekends it is too costly for me.
Nice Course
I found the Meadows course to be in very good condition. Sand traps could be improved, but the rest of the course condition was great.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Price was reasonable.
It will get better
The grass was long on May 3, so you had to be accurate or risk losing balls. The starter was good enough to point this out. I know the conditions will get better as the weather improves and this is still one of my top 3 courses on the South Side.
Grass
Anything not hit in the middle of the fairway is a 50/50 chance of finding your ball. Insanely tall grass while also having mounds of dead grass on every hole.
