Nice course in need of some TLC
Nice course layout with some bumps and bruises (mounds of dirt in fairways, some patchy greens etc). All in all a nice 9 holes. Only suggestion is better control of pace and groups. We were a threesome followed by a twosome (who we let play through) and then a single and more twosomes. This made it seem busier than it should have been and things got bunched up. If some of these groups were combined into threesomes and foursomes it would have made for a better experience all around.
Perfect November Weather - Decent Course
Nothing special here, but this is a decent 9-hole par 35 course. Can't beat the 70+ degree weather here in Chicago in November though. Tree leaves are still falling which, combined with the low sun angle this time of year, makes ball finding a bit difficult even if you're just slightly off the fairway. Fairways, by the way, are fairly narrow so the course requires an accurately placed tee shot. Nothing long or really exciting here, but the course offers enough scenery, little doglegs, and forest-backed greens to at least be an attractive play. Conditioning needs some attention, but all-in-all was easily playable. For the HotDeal price of $11 was well worth the cost.
Good Value, Would Recommend
Great layout in terms of variety of holes and greens were in good shape. Yes, some beat up spots on fairways but for less than $20 to walk 9 what do you want? Rest of greens were mowed and flush green. I would definitely play again
Would not recommend
Tried to get 2 carts due to COVID and they refused saying we don’t need 2. I then said is t it state law not to share a cart not unless you live in the same household, and their response was no.
The state law in Illinois is that 2 people who are not related may share a cart as and the two people where a mask
Great value all the time
Marty will be missed been coming for 3 years straight course has gotten better. Friendly staff Marty brings many golfers .. Course is clean and cut well. No issues ever. Even if crowded everyone's friendly.
It's a golf course.
This course is OK. The layout and signs are poor which makes navigating it a little difficult. It isn't maintained very well, the greens are pretty bad. It isn't expensive, so for the price, I can't complain too much. Decent course for beginners - since it isn't too long, and not crowded at all.
For 25 bucks with cart on a weekend you really cannot ask for much more. Great in sense there are a few par 5s and you can use a lot of clubs in your bag. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Course had some rough spots in fairway but again for the price not bad. I’ve paid more for worse conditions. Holes are
Confusing as they just renumbered them. On the whole a nice little day and a solid 9 holes. Would play again
Cant beat it for the price!
You really cant complain about a great little 9 hole course for $13 during the weekdays. Minus a few rough spots here and there the course is maintained WAY better than some other courses in the area (Hickory). Great layout and nice combination of reachable Par 5's and challenging Par 3's
