Morenthan one way to skin ...
On a cold and occasionally windy day, I had some trouble with my. driver. Nothing bad, but little that was good. Nevertheless I ended up with a 74! TEN one putts and a chip-in solved a lot of problems.
Interesting Course with 8 par 3's and ONE par 5
Considering the weather, the course is in great shape. The greens are maintained well. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Holes 7 and 15 have Stony Creek cutting across at 45 deg angle. Careful!
Best value in Chicago suburbs
Course is always in great condition - can’t beat value, moderately challenging - 210 yd Par 3 makes things interesting. Par 65 lets the course play quick when open, going mid-day you may notices slow play but marshals are pretty good at moving things along. If you ask me this is a great course to hit early season as a warm up for more challenging play. 10/10 would recommend, Full package: Range, Pro Shop, Cafe/Bar Putt/Chipping Greens.
It is par 65 course that plays like a 75
Despite having 8 par 3's this is a somewhat challenging course. Holes 4 and 15 has Stoney Creek crossing the fairway, Unless you have a lengthy second shot, it is better and safe to lay up. Greens on holes 8 and 11 are really tough.
Unique course with 8 par 3 holes!
Very nice layout. Holes 7 and 15 have Stoney Creek crossing the fairway and is not easily visible from the back. Very friendly folks in the front office.
Challenging Course despite 8 par 3 holes.
This is a course that offers challenges for every caliber player. Holes 7 and 15 are very interesting!
Disrespectful “Pro”
Very disappointed in the behavior by Brian, the general manager. Our group has had a standing golf outing here for the past decade and he searched over 75 golf carts for outside alcohol, very unnecessary move. Shocking behavior from a home town golf course that we used to frequent. Not coming back until the termination of him.
Not coming back soon
Poor pace of play and no rangers to moderate this issue. Blasting radios and drunk guys yelling at the top of their lungs. Zero golf etiquette and respect for others. 2 thumbs down Stony creek, be better than this.
