Stony Creek Golf Course

Very disappointed in the behavior by Brian, the general manager. Our group has had a standing golf outing here for the past decade and he searched over 75 golf carts for outside alcohol, very unnecessary move. Shocking behavior from a home town golf course that we used to frequent. Not coming back until the termination of him.

Poor pace of play and no rangers to moderate this issue. Blasting radios and drunk guys yelling at the top of their lungs. Zero golf etiquette and respect for others. 2 thumbs down Stony creek, be better than this.

This was my first time trying this course. The practice facility and the clubhouse were very nice. They have an excellent range at a great price. The staff was also exceedingly friendly.

However, when we arrived on time for our tee time before 8:00am there were 4 groups already backed up on the first tee. Was planning to play 18 and unfortunately we only made it through 3 holes in about an hour and 45 minutes. At that point we decided to call it.

To their credit, the staff happily refunded us for the round but unless pace of play and tee spacing improves avoid this course on the weekend!

Lots of 3-par holes make this a great course for working on “touch.” That said, I’m a golf newbie, and I had my first-ever par on a par 4 hole, so I was thrilled. This is a great all-around public course with gracious staff and a good practice area. My buddy really enjoyed his first round there, and we look forward to returning soon!

Course is in amazing shape. Management company doing a great job however I have booked two 6am tee times on weekend and nobody arrives to open office until 6am. I was also told that sometimes ball dispensing machine for driving range is not always filled to be used that early in the am. If staff was available earlier to check in for first tee times and course ready to go before 6am I would give 5 stars.
