Flagg Creek Golf Course

Flagg Creek is a nine hole golf course that is in above average condition and has a nice layout for a par 33 course -which is short one par five and has two extra par 3’s.

Where it falls dreadfully short is managing PACE OF PLAY

For example, just today’s round we witnessed:

1. A Fivesome two groups ahead of us

2. No Ranger actively managing the backups

3. No stated policy on the scorecard about PACE OF PLAY or reminders to players at first tee what expectations are for Pace of Play

This course can be walked and played by beginners to average golfers in less than 2 hours.

Continue to be impressed with the staff and the quality of this shorter, but very well maintained and laid out nine hole golf course near me. Flagg is already in mid-season form, and I can testify that having played many other public courses in the area in the last few weeks.

My only suggestion to the starter and the cashier would be to remind groups that the pace of place should be two hours or less for this course, which is very walkable in that time. In a riding cart , it would be much faster. Because Flagg gets a lot of new players, it can be slow, but I don’t think there’s any excuse for that— as it’s not an interval time issue with the scheduling. It’s more that new may have never beer told and do not realize they have to keep pace. We played yesterday at good speed for the first six holes, but the last three holes were very backed up.

This short course was amazing. The fairway grass was immaculate. Well kept grounds.

This is among the very best of the 9 hole executive golf courses in the west suburbs and, perhaps, all of Chicagoland.

This is a nice course to play. My son and I got paired with a couple of nice guys.

The greens were in horrible shape. Impossible to putt the ball straight. Tee boxes were just as bad.
