South at Hickory Hills Country Club

pace of play was AWFUL, 30+ per hole, waiting on every shot, no respect for others. Staff was very unprofessional and unfriendly. Course was not in good shape and was poorly designed. Nothing good about this course. Very run down.

The Greens and fairways are in good shape, in spite of the bad weather we had the previous days. But the cart paths need repair badly. The access to Hole 10 green is dangerous

Had a good time today for a mid march round. Was under 50 degrees so not too many people out there, flew around in 2 1/2 hrs. Green speeds were terribly inconsistent but they rolled alright. Complaints about the cart path were spot on. Wow they are really bad. And two holes have cart paths right down the middle of the fairway! Otherwise a fun day. Not a bad spot if you get a good deal on a tee time.

The course was packed because it was above 60 on Presidents’ Day & I was ready for a slow pace but the course played fast & we got through in maybe 4:10. The greens were wet & slow but that’s because all the snow is melting. Can’t wait to check it out in the summer.

Better than expected …. Being the middle of winter.

A wonderful layout, but suffering from inadequate maintenance. Hole 16 around the creek is a mess.

I was surprised by the very good condition of the course, although we had several inches of snow just a few days ago. Hope the management would consider fixing rge cart paths.

Golf cart took a crap was only able to drive in reverse. Lost more balls in the fairway than I did in the last 5 rounds. Balls flying at you from every angle. Greens had more divets than the tee box on 10. Overall straight TRASH!

Definitely a tough course, very narrow. The carts aren’t that smart and stalled a lot. The food selection was limited at the half way house and we couldn’t find a menu for the grill online or anywhere (there was a printout when you checked in but we didn’t take a photo). Balls flying across holes, missing balls, dead grass, although the greens were pretty well kept.

Course was in great condition- nice greens and fairways.

Cart path is deteriorating

We had an 8:30 tee time on a Saturday morning. The group in front of us was 4 guys playing out of 3 bags. The group in front of them was a 5 some. Round took 5 1/2 hours. The course layout has you ducking balls coming from all directions. We won’t be back

I cannot believe how horrible the whole experience at Hickory Hills Golf Course was. Where to begin, the check in counter had inefficient and unhelpful individuals there. I had to flag someone down when they were literally 5 ft away from me and ignored me. The person checking in the golfers outside before going to the course, picked up and left and we were waiting 15 mins past of tee time to play. I went back to the check-in counter and the individuals were not helpful at all, all they told me was to wait for the guy outside. We just started without direction. I will never go back here again.

Everything about the course was OK besides getting off the first tee. How are you 20 minutes behind pace of play at 745am. Starter needs to do a better job at getting the whole group together before teeing off.
