Indian Spring Golf Club

Had a great time as the pace of play was great. Finished a round little under 4:15. Awesome weather with lite breeze. Looking forward to the next round here.

Was surprised to see all of the greens and fairways were aerated already. Kind of early for fall aeration. Because of that, everything was not in the best of shape. Also a lot of crab grass on the course.

Played a Friday round and was not expecting the what a surreal experience it would be. Went out with a threesome because there was no starter at the first hole to make sure everyone was going off with their group. Play was extremely slow on the front 9, so much I got hit on twice waiting on my second shot on 7. After the 9th, the twosome I was playing with left so I and the other single continued on, but play did not improve as we were now behind a foursome of golf bros. The single bailed after the 12th hole and then I played the remaining round with a twosome that caught up to me on 13 tee and we played together for the rest of the round. Pace did pick up, and I was surprised to find out I finished in just over 4 hours rather than the 5 I thought it might be and had 5 playing partners for the day. Like the course, but might not return for a while.

The course, especially the greens, was in excellent shape and this was a very good value. It was an extremely hot day, so the course wasn’t as crowded as it normally would be, contributing to a nice pace of play.

This was my first time at Indian Spring. The check in was quick and friendly. We were paired with two beginner golfers which was fine. The pace of play was a little faster than our paired beginners were comfortable with and did seem a bit faster to myself. The group behind us was right on top us most of the day. The course played great and is well maintained, lots of staff taking care of the grounds. Lastly we stopped in the bar for a burger and a beer , the burger was good and the beer was cold. The girl working the bar was very helpful and kept the glass full. All in all it was a good experience, I’ll be back and will recommend this to friends.

Haven’t played the course since 2013 and was pleasantly surprised by how nice the course was. Pace of play and conditions were great, though the “golf bros” in front and behind our group could have used a refresher on course etiquette. Would return to play here again.

Golfnow should make it mandatory for golf courses to state when they aerate their greens. I could barely putt on a lot of the greens that were punched with the large tines The least they could do is sand them better than what was done on this course.. My golf ball was bouncing like a basketball. They charge you top dollar and do not disclose the poor conditions of the course. Their ought to be a law!?

Played the day before Thanksgiving in under 4 hours. Course is in great shape. The price is right.
