Beautiful course
Beautiful course, very well maintained with some challenging holes and a great layout.
Nice course but watch out for balls in your fairway
I like this course, it is kinda open but does have some OB on some sides. So some people bail out to the open area. That leads to some balls coming your way in the opposite direction. The regular price has gotten a little expensive but most courses have raised their price
Nice course, very friendly staff
Another great round at a nice public course that is a good value for the money. Be sure to stop at the 19th hole, great food (Excellent chili), reasonable prices, and the gals are absolutely fabulous!
Great Course For The Money
One of the tee boxes was under-repaired, but aside from that, the course was in decent shape. My son and I were able to play 17 holes (because we jumped a foursome on 11). Our tee time was 3:00 pm.
We will play there again.
Always a pleasure
Course was in great shape, especially for this time of the year after the winter we just had
Winter conditions
Weather was great but March conditions which is top be expected
Cold golf day
The course was in great condition for the time of year. The temperature was in the high 30's. The tee boxes were frozen, couldn't get the tee in the ground luckily I have a winter tee .
Course always in excellent condition
Golden Pheasant is always in great condition. Even though the course was crowded, our group got through quickly. Will always return to this course.
Wonderful course, layout and conditions
We played on a beautiful fall day. The fairways and greens were beautiful and allowed a very good round. The practice facilities were also exceptional. The chipping green is giant with 4 pins and the ability to walk off up to a 70 yard chip.
The holes are a good mix of shorter dog leg or blind tee shot par 4’s to a few nice relatively straight forward par 5’s and a couple nice par 3’s.
The cart girl was also fun and went to pick us up a couple hot dogs at the turn.
The only concern (or reality) is the course is generally pretty full with foursomes set up at 10 minute intervals. With the course layout, it tends to take time to finish a round. It took us 4 hrs 35 minutes to complete our round. We didn’t feel rushed or super slow, it just took a while to get around.
Having lived nearby for many years, I returned to play after moving out of the area.
The price to play here has nearly doubled in the 4 years I've been here.
The condition of most fairways was not good. A lot of bare spots. To be fair, the greens had nice grass but had recently been aerated but not top dressed. They were very bumby.
The staff was very friendly and pace of play on a Tuesday afternoon was great, about 3 1/2 hours.
Overall it's an average course but a bit overpriced as I'm learning most courses in NJ these days are...
Fun Round
Got paired with a good group and had a fun day. Course overall in good condition, except for the tee boxes...a lot of teeing off dirt/sand.
Not going back
Not worth the cost nor the drive from Philly. Paid $89 for a noon start on Sunday to follow an AM shotgun start for a tournament. With nobody in front of the one group in front of us, it still took 2.5 hours to play the front 9. The single ranger drive out once at the 7th hole to see if he could start groups off the back. The fairways are riddled with blight and I found myself in more deadpan on the fairway than the lies if I missed the fairway. The pin placements were like putt-put with pins on domes or within 6 feet of the fringe. I have no interest in spending the time nor this kind of money to play a joke of a course. I will not be back.
Great track
First time playing this Very nice course pin placement is slightly questionable, greens were in pretty good condition however, the rough definitely needed some work. Tee boxes, are definitely the one thing they need to work on and my biggest pet peeve was players who did not and do not replace their ball mark on the green. But all in all, this was a very nice course and I would definitely play it again.
