Saint Albans Golf Club

About
Saint Albans Golf Club in Ohio is a public course that provides a casual atmosphere and a relaxing round. It is popular for its affordable rates and excellent conditions. The layout is fair and not overly challenging. It was designed to be player-friendly course with no hidden hazards. The design does take advantage of the landscape's rolling countryside and numerous ponds though. There are five water hazards that come into play on nine holes. Slight undulations make the greens and fairways interesting and there are also many strategically positioned trees coming into play throughout. The golf course's signature hole is the par-4 10th. It is one of the trickier holes, requiring a shot to a large green that is protected by a meandering creek and a tall cottonwood tree.

Golf course and slow play
I have played this golf course many times I usually like it today I had a bad experience with pace-of-play the group of golfers ahead of me would not let me play through as a single they were very slow one golfer could not hit the golf ball over 50 yards I shared my concerns at the clubhouse and the response was they would not let single golfers come and play the golf course ever again very poor attitude I would not recommend this place to anybody but that attitude
Regular stop
Fun and challenging course in good condition mostly. Bare basic clubhouse.
Nice course
Nice layout and in good condition. Not overly challenging which is good for me. Got behind a slow foursome who weren’t interested in letting me play through. Course was great, foresome was not.
Great Day on the Course
I couldn't of asked for more perfect conditions on the course or with the weather. What a nice time, I recommend all to try. So nice to not feel rushed like I do at other locations.
Great golf close to home!
Great price and had a couple of scenic holes 10/13
Playing in golf outing in Oct and wanted to play course a couple of times as a tune-up
Good value for the money. Course in decent shape, greens not bad. Would play again.
Good course, great value
Great course for the money. Challenging for golfers of all levels. Course was in pretty good shape. However there were grooves through several greens, but did not detract from a good time playing.
A once beautiful course under poor management
I was expecting a high quality course for the price and location. What I got was far from it. Either increase the quality or reduce the price. I'm good either way
I like the course just a little overpriced
I played this course last week and enjoyed it. Its not overly challenging even for a 14 handicapper. Its not to short and it does have a few challenging holes for the most part its a bombers course..go a head and hit 3 fairways right you can go find it and hit again. I would come out and play it again during the week if it was under $20. However $26 mid day during the week is a bit overpriced. Staff was very nice both when I paid and when I got my snack at the turn. Pace of play was pretty decent.
Great Course
its a wonderful course to go play. The only thing I don't like is the regular price is to high 33.00 on the weekend and 25.00 on the weekdays. Great for senior play or beginner players.
Nice Course
Course was in very good shape, except for the Greens. Five or six Greens had suffered damage from a piece of equipment. Those greens had tracks across the entire green that was burnt out.
Pace of play was excellent, Course layout was really nice... pretty Course. Friendly staff. Enjoyed our day!
Bucolic, Meditative, Restorative
A lovely and very even paced 18 holes of golf on a Saturday afternoon, no wait at tees....in fact, I didn't see but a few groups through my course of play.
Lovely greens with tight rolls, not much hazard to be encountered but plenty of layout challenges and undulating tiered greens gave a good spark to play.
Unremarkable but in a totally congruent beneficial manner.
Loved St. Alban's...will repeat with the wife soon!
Nice friendly place.
St. Albans golf corse is a bueitful wooded golf corse. It is fair a fare layout, with some nice challenges. The staff was very friendly, and refreshingly lay backed.
