Willow Run Golf Course

Course was extremely wet and frankly was surprised they opened. I don’t have any issues with it being cart path only but the paths were in HORRIBLE condition. It made it hard since you constantly had to stop to slowly go over the water-filled potholes. Actually experienced the car bottoming-out on the path due to the depth of some potholes. It’s a good layout and the greens were rolling well but they need to address the condition of their cart paths.

The holes were is good shape considering the floods a couple weeks ago. The greens were very soft which was nice to play on but there were so many cleat marks, ball marks, etc. Two things for improvement; at least 3 holes had greens where the prior hole was replaced poorly leaving a pretty noticeable drop in level. The cart paths are terrible. Staff was very friendly.

Played Willow Run many times the last e years and its a good layout course. But unfortunately it is really going downhill, cart paths are so bad pot holes concrete all torn up. Bunkers nothing been done grass weeds growing out of them. Many spots on fairways holes and just dirt. . Some greens major bare spots on them. Tee boxes hardly any grass on them. This course has some great holes on it, like no2 and number 13 but its to the point with the conditions there not worth playing anymore unless it has a major overhaul

Went back nine was open at the time we went out. It was cartpath only but you couldn’t even drive on the car pass. There was so much water.

The course is in horrible shape and the carts are ridiculous. I would not recommend this course to anybody.

Shut the place down already!

The layout is fundamentally sound. It provides a fair challenge as the golfer approaches the green complexes. Hats off to the individuals who dreamed of and brought Willow Run to life in the 1960’s.

However, the tee-boxes, bunkers, cart paths and golf carts require substantial capital investment and commitment for improvements.

Rain can help keep putting greens, fairways and tee-boxes green. Rain will not help improve old, broken down tee-boxes, bunkers, cart paths and golf carts.

Had an enjoyable round of golf on a Saturday morning. The course is challenging and in good shape. The greens are especially good.

I taught my sons how to play golf here. The staff and team feel like family. With 3 sons, paying for a foursome can hit like a car payment. Willow was our solution.

The golf ball eating creek on several holes comes into play on too many holes. The tree lined fairways dares you to swing to hard. Risk reward opportunities. 13, is my favorite hole in central Ohio.

Cart path in disrepair, fairways, bunkers and greens need a lot of work to make this course worth playing. Carts were filthy. Would not play this course again.

When I worked at Wendy's we used to have a yearly golf tournament here in the 1980's and early 90's. It was the first time back since. The greens were in good shape but slow but the traps and fairways were in very poor condition. Everyone at the course was helpful and kind. Probably wouldn't play again but it was fun to remember those tournaments.

For the money the course isn’t terrible but there are too many better options in Columbus. We played here because of the 4 out of 5 rating ( it’s not a 4 out of 5). First the cart paths are worse than any other in Central Ohio, they are beyond dangerous, just rip them out. The course itself is fine with a few good hole but nothing memorable. Fairways were rutted out in low spots and several of the tee boxes were completely burned out. Also several weird dog legs. Bunkers are all trash. The greens were not terrible but slow and fuzzy. If you live close and want to play cheap it’s ok
