Sleepy Hollow Golf Course

Nothing to really get upset about but nothing to get excited about either. Lots of better options in the area.

I know it rained for a day or two before we went out. But there was no difference in the height of the grass between the rough and fairways. Looked like the fairways hadn’t been cut all season. Draining was bad; standing water up and down the fairways. Think in the summer when it is dry this can be a nice course. The staff was amazing. Beer was cold, and the hot dogs were good.

Course in bad shape. Poorly maintained. Fairway grass as long as the rough. Tee boxes had long grass.

Very good deal food and drinks are priced well and are good!

Front nine had sticks and branches raked up to tree bases. Greens were fairly good. Back nine was not yet cleaned of any sticks or branches. Some greens were hard to putt because of rough patches on some greens. Only one tee block available on any hole. Tee blocks were in rough conditions. Staff was extremely friendly both in the clubhouse and out on the course.

Staff is great! Very friendly! Best all beef hotdogs in golf! Layout is really good! I really like the layout! With all that being said the condition of this course is one of the worst in have ever seen! The weather was great all week long and our tee time was on Friday and the leaves were still littered all over the place so it was hard to find your ball! Next thing is that the tee boxes the rough and the fairways are all the same awful! Missing huge patches of grass in the fairways! Greens are patchy! Landscaping is horrible! The range is always goes unkept and uneven under your feet,feels like you are going to roll an ankle! Range balls are muddy and you can expect to have at least 2 mower balls a bucket! These conditions are all year round! Could be a great course if they tried but it’s been like this for years!

Glad to see all of the maintenance work going on at the course. Hopefully this will continue next season, could become a gem.

This was my first time golfing here and I did not know what to expect. The first hole was a little dry with patchy grass but nothing horrible. By the time I was on the back nine the fairways were brown, the greens were dry and cracking, and some of the tee boxes had barely any grass on them. I hope they can turn this course around but it seems to need a lot of work. I won’t be back any time soon.

Investment in the course continues. If it continues this could become a gem!

Well, staff was friendly, pace of play was great, weather was perfect yet I still didn’t have too good a time. Course was half dehydrated half swamped out. The fairways reminded me of my backyard. The greens were so hard a ball hit off a gap wedge with a 70 degree descent angle bounced 8 feet in the air and roll off the back. The best part about this course is that your ball runs 20-30 yards farther than normal because the ground is so hard and poorly taken care of. Most tee boxes were so uneven I felt like I was teeing off in the rough. Would only take a friend who has never played golf and wants to spend as little as possible to just give it a shot.
