Wilkshire Golf Course

I have been playing Wilkshire for over 30 years and today the course was in rough shape. I'll excuse the greens due to aerification but the tee boxes, rough and fairways were not good. The rough had no consistency in height nor thickness. The tee boxes and fairways were uneven and furry.

I do want to take a minute to comment about divots on the tee boxes and fairways. Many golfers have no clue or concerns about filling in divots yet complain about these conditions. You have a divot mix on the cart and par 3 tee boxes. Take a second and fill in when you take a divot or see one left by others. So many local courses have closed, let's take care of the ones we have left.

The course was great for beginners but with the linger course it took us longer and our golf cart kept telling us to pick up our pace. Overall, it was a good day and staff was friendly.

I (see my review on thier website) am an advid golfer, and fair in reviews. The course is awesome, but the staff (minus the ground crew) is very rude! I was spoken to and over heard a few others talked to in a condensending manner for minor to stupid questions or walking to the bathroom--truth! It used to be a great place to play, but until management changes, 4get it!

Course was in great shape. Staff was awesome. I will return. It will definitely make you think about your next shot on some hole.

Pace of play was terrible. There were no marshals on the course to help speed things up. Several holes had three groups on them. I tried to go around some groups to find some open space after seven holes. I went to the 10th T there were two groups on the T box 2 groups in the fairway. I went in and said something to the folks in the pro shop and they didn’t have an answer nor did they act like they cared. I’ve played this course many times before and this was my worst experience. I will never go back.

My son and I got paired up with another pair. We were behind another 4 some. In front of them was a 3 some. They were extremely slow, and would not let anyone go through. Very annoying. A course ranger would’ve been helpful

First round in a few years and found a killer rate and just had to jump on it. Course was very fun, challenging with out being to hard. Cart died on 16 but they had another one out in a matter of minutes. Will definitely be back

Challenging and rewarding at the same time. Condition was outstanding.
