Really nice course in great condition (particularly tee boxes; among the best I've seen anywhere, and NOT to detract from the fairways and greens which were also in very good shape). Pace of play was generally good, though a bit disappointing that we came up upon slower play ahead of us on the 2nd 9. Not enough to downgrade my opinion of the course, though, as I suppose that is to be expected at a 27-hole facility.
Course Conditions
The course had been hit with a lot of rain the day before and the bunkers were flooded.
Would suggest that they improve the drainage for their bunkers.
Very Balanced Course
We played Heritage and Legend after a bunch of rain on a Golf Now Hot Deal for a 11:30 tee time. The course had standing water on it, but that was due to the amount of rain the prior two days and even earlier in the day that we played. Despite that, the course was in excellent condition.
The course has a nice mix of hole and difficulty and we really enjoyed playing it. I don't think it is worth the $68 that we would normally have to pay to play it on the weekend, but if you can grab a Hot Deal and get it for $45 or less, than I think you should give it a go. $45 is generally my play group's max for course fees, for a reference.
First time at Yankee Trace
18 holes for 30 bucks wasn't a bad deal, I didn't like the gps enabled carts that go into limp mode if you barely leave the cart path however. I'd play again if I could get this "hot deal" again.
Excellent course
Played Heritage and Legend...rewarded for good shots and punished for bad shots. Looking forwatd to playing this course again.
Always in great shape.
Pace of play was a little slow but course is in great condition.
First tee time following an outing!
My only complaint was we were the first time after an outing that was not a shotgun start. Had three groups on a tee a couple of times. After 9 holes the outing was done; 2.5 hour front 1.5 hour back side. No one mentioned the outing until we hit one of their fundraising tees.
