Golf Club at Yankee Trace - Vintage Course
About
The Golf Club at Yankee Trace touts the title of "Dayton's best golf course" as well as being the top public course in the entire Miami Valley. The club has two courses, the nine-hole Vintage Course and the challenging 18-hole Championship Course. Both courses sprawl across lush, grassy meadows. The Vintage Course has a classic design that is player-friendly enough for beginner. For more advanced players, it is great for some quick practice or as a warm-up to the longer golf course. In addition to the 27 holes of golf, Yankee Trace also offers a bentgrass practice range. One of the main reasons the club has remained so popular since opening is the staff's commitment to providing country club atmosphere and service for the price of a public course.

I'm not very long hitter so this course was a little long for me even from sr tees one par 4 was 399 yds from Sr tees
Great Day
Couldn't be better. Great weather. Great course conditions. Good company (we shared our favorite golf jokes). My first time this year but I'll be back.
Great Round
A friend recommended this course during a trip to Dayton and I was not disappointed. Very nice and well kept and the staff was great and very helpful. I got first tee time so no issues with pace of play.
This is a fun course to play and it was in great shape. Highly recommended
Golf
Course is in great shape for being a public course. Nice greens
Nice course
The course was still wet from rain which led to cart path only. The pace of play was very slow on the front nine because of the cart path only requirement but only on the front nine. The second nine was much faster. I don’t know if this was related to groups only playing nine holes or they dispersed to the other 9 hole course.
Nice course though
Good layout missing maintenance
Yankee is a good layout, can play long from the back tees if the fairways are soft. The greens seem to varying a lot from early season to late season. They need to remind people to fix their pitch marks on the greens as there were a lot of blemishes and I healed marks on every green, to the point any putt over 10 feet seemed to be impossible. The last time I played there the greens had not been mowed in several days and were visibly shaggy, combined with the pitch marks you might have week been playing on tempory greens. I enjoy the course but wish it was better maintained.
Good track, subpar greens
Yankee Trace is a fantastic track with many challenging holes. The fairways were in excellent condition. However the greens were disappointing by being too bumpy and slow for my taste. The pace of play could have been better, too, but it was a beautiful Friday afternoon with a lot of play.
Great course to be on GolfNow
Course was in great shape, even though it was cart path only today from all the rain we've had. Staff was very friendly and pace of play was as to be expected with the conditions. Will definitely play here again and recommend this to anyone who hasn't played here.
3 Groups 1 tee
4th time playing Yankee. Long story short when we made the turn after playing the front nine in an hour and half they had 3 groups going off on 10. We should’ve know it was a disaster waiting to happen because each hole we waited 10 min to tee off. Finally after an hour and half and only 4 holes we called the club house and they sent someone out only to tell us we lied about the pace of play and there’s no way the course would let 3 groups go off at once. I mean it’s obvious the course was just trying to get money but come on. I won’t be playing g here for a while.
Nice and hot
Course was great considering th 94 degree temps. Lots of water and beverages on the course.
Beautiful golf course tries to bite you at the end of your round
This is a very beautiful golf course in very nice condition. On the back nine the final 3-4 holes will try to take a bite out of your score.
