About
The Harbor Pines Golf Club is a public facility that boasts an 18-hole, four-star golf course with subtle, breaking greens that provide a challenge for all golfers. The holes are very private and the fairways are wide and open.
The environment friendly course is a local favorite and is considered among women to be one of the best courses for women to play on. The beautiful natural landscape with seventeen acres of water and 520 acres of forestry has even been certified as an National Audubon Sanctuary. The relatively flat course does offer challenges for experienced golfers but it will not be too difficult for intermediate or beginning golfers. Both the 16th and 17th holes are difficult par-4's and the course has various hazards scattered throughout.

Ocean City Golf
Very nice course, close to Ocean City. Pace of play was a little slow on the front nine but picked up nicely on the back nine. Most sand traps were in good condition but a few had hard packed sand, may have been due to heavy rain 2 days earlier.
Overall a course worth playing.
Very slow play
Nice course but pace of play was ridiculously slow.. At times, there were three groups on any one hole. I counted four groups one time. We almost skipped the last couple of holes..it was hot and the pace was ridiculous for such a very nice course. I'm disappointed the rangers did not work to speed things up.
Good track
I played at 3:20 because of the afternoon rate. For $75, I would say this course is definitely worth it. Weird rule where the rakes for the bunkers were in the kart with you, not conveniently places near all bunkers. It was clear that no one used them because the bunkers had footprints everywhere. The greens were nice, along with fairways and tee boxes. Don’t be fooled by the speed of the practice green, because the greens are not as fast as the practice green. Overall, I had a great time and was impressed I just wish we didn’t wait on every hole. I may have just gotten unlucky.

Management Should Be Embarrassed
The Good...course was in nice shape, staff were friendly and helpful.
The Bad...8 minute between tee times, had to wait 10 minutes past tee time for a cart as they don't have enough, rangers didn't seem to care that the pace of play was 4.5 hours +.
If the managment cared just a little about the experience golfers had there instead of just caring about generating as much $$$'s as possible, it could have been a nice outing.
Pace of play doesn’t exist
Course is nice. Pace of play doesn’t exist with a foursome ahead of us taking and extra 1:10 hrs to play a round. Signs everywhere for pace of play, rangers don’t care at all. No one wants to play over 5 hours in 90 degree heat. Really was a terrible experience and I won’t play here again.
Fun Course to Play
Every hole has a unique secluded feel since the course is built in the pine lands. Each hole interesting and challenging, and the course was well maintained. I played on a Saturday afternoon and there was an outing in the morning, I started on the back and pace of play was excellent. I completed my round under 3 hours which likely was faster than normal since the outing took most morning tee times and I was placed on the back 9 which I really appreciated! It was refreshing to see wild turkeys on the course. Definitely one of the better courses in the area, I really enjoyed my round and would recommend.
Good course, good conditions
Above average course, their amenities are very good. Course layout I think it's just ok, it's south jersey so it's very flat, most of the course layout isn't particularly interesting although a pretty long layout. Bunkers were well placed and while rocky, the sand was decent. Most of the water is basically out of play, it's far off the wide fairways or too long out to really be a factor. Greens I thought made the course, they were well maintained and had a lot of fun undulations that made for some really fun putts without being impossible pin locations.
