Steadily improving, but ball marks on greens a serious issue
Getting better every year since the county took it over. Pretty challenging course and the tree overgrowth makes you have to try to shape some shots. Like all the other county courses there is an epidemic of golfers not fixing ball marks with craters all over every green. Not sure if due to the quality of golfer or new covid golfers but the starters and workers there have to start telling people to fix them before teeing off. It would make a huge difference.
Nice course
Challenging holes with many doglegs and some water hazards. Carts have to be in by 415 though last wk.

Comfortable but long challenging course
Nice Course, greens are in good condition for this time of the year. It is wide, open but pretty long Course, that's the challenge. A reasonable driving distance, along with a great long or hybrid striking is required, otherwise, you'll be playing a strong bogey...

Worst Golf experience of my life
What a shame that this course with some serious potential is operated by a bunch of incompetent losers. To start The layout is nice and challenging, but the course clearly suffers from lack of maintenance. (To be fair, something all municipal courses suffer from, so I can look past this)
However, what truly made this the worst experience is the staff! Not only was the starter a jerk, he had no control over who was on the tee box on 1, backing up the entire course. They also have a RIDICULOUS rule that carts have to be returned by 5:45 even though sundown isn’t until 615. Me and my group were on hole 17 at 5:43 and were told we weren’t allowed to start hole 18 and “this is what we signed up for.” I understand he wants to go home after a long day, but that’s what HE signed up for as a ranger. I get it if we were on hole 14, but with one hole left he has to be reasonable and there’s no need to be so rude. (Classic old retired guy who works on a golf course but hates working on a golf course)
There’s too many good courses in the area across the NY border to even consider playing here. No beverage sales, bad course conditions, and a bunch of old jerks in charge make it not even worth it even if it were free. This placed changed names a few years back due to a management change, and clearly will need to go through one again. 0 stars
Average all around. Tee box conditions need a lot of improvement.

Not the friendliest staff
I get it, it was the end of the day around 6 pm and the cart guy wanted to go home but to scream at us to hurry and finish our round was uncalled for. We were finishing the 17th hole and out of nowhere a group jumped in front of us and teed off on the 18th. This was not the group we were following all day and these people were hitting the ball all over the place so we had to wait for them to hit every shot and naturally caused our round to be 15 longer than it should have. When we told the cart guy that was the cause of our delay, he didn’t seem to care but then they should’ve had a ranger kick the people who jumped in front of us off the course. Decent course but not coming back due to the staff being rude

Tough to score
A very long, , flat and demanding of a good drive course , on almost every hole . To bad for me the green were just aeration..

His staff is rude
This course is okay at best decent layout I was supposed to play today but due to inclement weather I canceled this morning and then the staff member rudely tells me well you have to pay $5 cancellation fee which was wrong because there was inclement weather today I should not have been charged a cancellation fee especially considering that I made the tee time less than 24 hours in advance The weather report simply changed and I was basically berated and insulted for canceling this is not the first time I have had an experience like this at this course which is why I never really go there in the first place I gave this place another chance and I regretted it Don't go here they really are not very nice.
