Ranger was an absolute tool. Extremely rude and ruined my experience by forcing people to play through us for no reason and for constantly crowding the greens so he could fix divots… while I was putting. He also spoke with such aggression no matter what he was saying. Also for some reason made everyone turn in golf carts at 5:45 so we ended our round short because it was not worth walking. Food was pretty bad as well. Ranger also lost my drivers license when I went back to retrieve it and wasted my time pretending I was in the wrong.

Nice course - rude cashier
The sign outside the pro shop says all employees and visitors must wear a mask, but the cashier isn’t wearing a mask, and he gave me a hard time about it. Makes no sense. Also, no water on the course, and the driving range is a joke. Other than that, the course is in good shape and not expensive.

Hypocrites
Decent course. Always in relatively good shape. However, there was no notification of the aerated greens on the golf now site or at the course. The one thing that has always been consistent is the front desk staff. Always rude. This time I was asked to wear a mask inside by employees who were not wearing a mask. Even though the sign says customers and employees must wear masks. When I asked the guy where his mask was he snapped and said “right here” pulling it out of his back pocket and putting it back in. The rangers are very polite, but the front desk staff makes the course not worth it

Management Does Not Care About The Customers
The County Of Bergen does not value their customers and its disgusting. The staff demands that all golf carts have to returned thirty minutes prior to sunset, meanwhile you still pay full price for the cart. This practice is unethical and shows you how little management values their customers. The course manager who allows this practice to happen should be disciplined. Not only is this policy bad customer service but it also costs the county revenue, because it discourages customers from wanting to book late day tee times and rent late day carts. I would love to hear a response from the manager to justify why such a policy exists that promotes bad customer service and lost revenue.

The reason that we have this policy at our courses is to ensure the safety of the golfers and staff given that darkness falls within a half hour of the time the carts are due in, and both golfers and staff are unable to see where they are driving after the sun has set.

rude cashier
I made a reservation for 2 palyers. I reserved a 2 players game to start at 11:40, but the cashier mistakenly thought it was a 1 person party. When I corrected him that it was 2 people, not 1, he repeatedly snapped "tap, tap, tap!! " twenty times(from the card reader) while pointing at the cancel button on the reservation site. I'm not sure if he thought I couldn't speak English well because I'm an Asian man, or if he was angry for some other reason. Either way, I felt humiliated.
Why didnt he ask customer like this politely! " could you press cancel button?
The cashier said we were scheduled to play at 1:10 PM, but when we got to the field we were asked why we were there past our original scheduled time of 11:40 PM. I replied that we were told by the cashier to come at 1:10 PM, and after a long back and forth between the fielders and the shop, we finally got to play at 1:50 PM, a whole 40 minutes past. This was, in total, 2 hours and 10 minutes past our original start time, just for being 3 minutes late.
