Valley of the Eagles Golf Club

Played on a fall day, staff could not have been nicer. Many interesting holes, creative layout and fairways, bunkers and greens were all in nice shape. One of these courses on west side in my opinion.

Play this course years ago when it first reopened and it still had some major maturing to do. It's finally there, everything was in great shape for this time of year. Greens rolled smooth and true, fairways were well manicured and no leaves (very surprised). I will definitely play this course more now that it has fully matured. Keep up the great job...

My friend and I visited here, for the first time, for both of us! And at the 1st tee was instantly greeted by the nicest gentleman! We had one heck of nice day and the course was in the best shape that I have seen any course in this time of year! Yeah the cart paths are rough (that you might see in another review) but that’s because they redoing them and people love to complain.. there are rarely any leaves on the course and the bunkers seemed like they haven’t seen rain or dew in a month!

Only con you can find is on some of the holes, the airation they did a month ago, is still visible on the fringe of the green! But just played Sleepy and Manakiki the days prior, this blows them OUT of the water!

I was just so blown away that no one talks about this course that much! Must go before they close (They said they are looking to make it to Thanksgiving!)

For the time of year, the course conditions were nice. But not Nicklaus nice. Very disappointed to see so many pitch marks on the greens and infilled divots everywhere. Sounds bad, but even the cart paths seemed bad. It’s just not what you think of when you think of a Nicklaus course. For the price, you can’t complain too much though.

Only have one complaint about my experience yesterday. My group was a 4 ball and behind us there were 3 groups of 2. Just wished the starter would have paired them up to make a 4 ball. Don’t like being rushed around the course. Ended up letting two groups play through, and the third group jumped ahead on the turn.

Rained hard that morning had to keep carts on path but that was o.k. definitely would like to play again

As a 2-some we played the front 9 in record time. When we got to the 10th we found two elderly ladies that were novice golfers on the tee box. They would not let us play thru and and we waited on every shot. It made for a very long and miserable afternoon. This course did not make it as a private country club and it won't make it as a public course, if the owners will make no effort to manage slow play. And, just to be clear on how this course is "managed", there was no starter either. There is nothing quite like driving one hour from Wadsworth to Elyria to play slow golf. And for the record, the player behind us gave up after playing 15 holes.

Great course. Seems to play longer than the yardage.

Visiting from Canada, been visiting Ohio since I was a kid. Girlfriend gave me green light to play a few courses. Found a great hit deal on golf now, friendly staff tee’d off at 7am solo bad weather looming kept golfers away so pace of play was excellent. Course was in excellent shape, fast greens and challenging holes made for a fun round. Will definitely play again very impressed.

This was the first time I played the course. I highly recommend it to all golfers. It wants to make me play other Nicklaus designed courses. Not only the GOAT,but a great designing company. This course tests your golf ability.
