Big Met Golf Course

About
Big Met Golf Course boasts the title of being Ohio's most-played golf course. Since opening in 1926, it has hosted an impressive 6,000,000 rounds of golf. The course is nestled into the Rock River Valley along gently rolling hills. One of the course's defining features is the dike that helps to hold back the Rocky River, which can be viewed from several holes. Although the golf course as it exists now differs dramatically from the original layout thanks to numerous improvements over the years, including lengthening and remodeling the seventh and eighth holes, it has retained the same playability that has earned its reputation. Big Met Golf Course is not overly challenging but there are a few strategically placed bunkers and tricky rough areas, as well as a moderate amount of length.

If you have time on your hands.
The course is in good shape, greens are nice, tee boxes average, rough is thick, but the speed of play is slow to very slow. I have played the course twice this year, Fathers Day and the 4th of July. Granted both are holidays but I have played many courses. You had to wait several minutes for every shot you took both times I have played.
I love Big Met... BUT!!!!
We played behind 3 fat clowns that preferred to talk loudly to each other instead of hitting their tee shots. And, when they got on the greens they spent more time studying than actually putting. Had there been a ranger moving them and their big yaps along it would have been a great day on the course. Judging by the fact that one was a lefty and one wore a girlie-man visor backwards I am hoping they were just visiting from California and will never return to NE Ohio.
Nice Course
Nice, relaxing 9 holes. A good course. No issues.
Single golfer
Can't get a tee time online for 1 golfer. No guarantee to play as a walk up single player. No rain checks if you can't get out. Not a good public course option. If you do play, plan on 5-6 hours.
Open
Very open course, pace was the worst I’ve ever experienced
West Park Country Club
Excellent conditions after recent aeration. Completely healed.
Back 9 holes as good as any course around.
The starters do a great job on the first tee despite dealing with a variety of golfers & personalities.
A good value
The course was in very good shape considering its one of most played in ohio. For myself I had the opportunity to play with two very good groups of people.
Always a pleasure to play Big Met
However, the fairways were a little ratty and filled with clumps of freshly cut grass.
Great day at a Great Course!
While I little expensive, the course is in perfect shape.
The starter deserves a raise or promotion, He is one of the nicest, friendliest guys I have ever met.
