Franklin Golf Course is a player-friendly, nine-hole course that is perfect for beginners. At 2,559 yards from the tips, the course plays to a par of 35. While the layout is not exactly a challenge, it does provide a quick round that is good for some practice. The bentgrass greens are well-maintained and putt true. There is no water on the course but there are a few strategically placed bunkers throughout. The hazards are nothing too serious though. The traditional layout has remained largely unchanged since opening in 1941. The golf course easily accommodates those who are new to the game but seasoned players looking for a challenging round will have to go elsewhere though the affordable rates are enough to appeal to any skill level.

This course great
Course was deceptively tough. Was challenging and a great change from the larger course. Look forward to another round.
Fairways and pace
The fairways were not well kept. It was very hard to even tell them apart from the rough. The course had a good design to it, just not well kept. It got a little backed up because people were playing 18 on a 9 hole course so the first hole tee box was very crowded. My group could not even tee off until 20 minutes until after we were scheduled too. The staff was very nice however.
Franklin course in better condition this year
I surprised how much better the course was this year than last year. The greens were actually green and a little on the fast side. The fairways were nice and green but a little long. The rough is still too long. Still the place where I lose the most balls when I play. I hate hitting a great shot slightly off the fairway and can't find my ball. I guess I should keep it in the fairway.

Very much enjoyed playing this course.
Staff was very friendly and courteous.
Arrived at 0755 for our 0800 tee time, but not one employee was present, doors locked. Waited for 35 minutes, still no employee showed up, ended up leaving. Won’t try this course again.
The fairways are dead
This course is in such horrible shape this year. There is hardly any green grass in the fairways. There doesn't seem to be any type of course maintenance going on. The greens are so slow is like putting through mud. The one upside is if you hit off the fairways you don't lose your ball because there's no grass to hide it. I hope they get the course in better shape soon or I don't think I'll be back.
