Still Nice
Sugar Bush is still a bit of a hidden gem as the value can't be beat. Though this time the greens were a bit off- bumpy, inconsistent, and much slower than usual. I understand this area has been getting a ton of rain, so I hope they can get them back to the pristine condition they usually are. Looked like there was some construction on the course for new drainage, so maybe that issue popped up. I know they still run deals during the week. I used to play here 3-4 times a month and though I live about an hour away I still make the trip a few times a summer. Still a great layout that will make you use every club.
Still the Best
This course is fantastic and one of my favorites. They sped the greens back up since I last played. Everything is A+ as always. This is a true hidden gem, make the trip.
Hidden Gem
This course is amazing and truly a gem out in the country. Good rolling terrain, with beautifully maintained tees and greens. This course is a joy to play every time I come out here. The greens were a bit slower that normal, but they had been watering them on and off throughout the day, so they rolled fine and held shots well. The front is more bombing, and the back is placement. Numerous holes (11, 13, 15, 16, 17) offer birdie opportunities on the back. Full price on a weekend was $44 but that feels like a deal out here. Pace was a bit slow b/c of Father's Day, it's never been bad out here though. Take a drive, it's worth it.
Excelent
Sugarbush is an Excelent hidden gem of a golf course. Tucked out in Amish country. The tee boxes are clean and the greens are some of the most curvy and fast in the area. This is an enjoyable course because you don't need to take driver on everyhole. And some holes need only a mid iron to be in proper position. Yet the front has some long par 4's.
