About
Jamaica Run Golf Club offers one of the most challenging layouts in the Miami Valley. The difficult greens provide most of the trouble. They are small and hard to hit and on many holes they are elevated above the fairway, making it hard to play a run-up shot. The bentgrass fairways are spacious and thankfully more forgiving, but they are bordered by thick rough. Water hazards come into play on several holes. There is even one hole that crosses the meandering creek that runs through the golf course twice. The par-5 18th provides a memorable finish, requiring a tee shot past a large pond to a fairway that sits well below the pond. Finding the right club to use and a good spot to hit are nearly impossible.

Enjoyable day of golf
The course was in great shape and the people were very friendly! Very enjoyable
Beariful and nice course
Golf course is in excellent shape,holes are challenging, greens are in good shape although seems like peopke do not fix divots, staff is friendly. Overall good price for the course. I will definetely play it again

This course is a nice well mature course
The course is well taken care of as far as the greens and fairways some of the tee box areas are not marked. Some of the signs need to be replaced. Some of the sand traps are as hard as concrete. All and all its a nice course great staff at the clubhouse but I would like to see more merchandise in the show room. I would rate this course on a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it a 7. All and all I like the course very demanding.

Staff
The staff members are not friendly! The course is ok, but nothing special! When people playing ahead of you are playing slow, no reason to yell at us to speed up. With the rain the course was muddy and we get told to not park by the greens, which meant we had to walk through water and mud to get to the green.

Tee times were a little tight but play was acceptable.

Course was closed due to weather

No drinking water on Hot course
Great Course to play with several challenging holes to play. The only real issue I have is the lack of drinking stations in the course that made it very dangerous to play in a humid and very hot day. I bought a Gator Aide at the turn but it wasn’t enough. I felt very light headed and thought later it could have been a slight heat stroke. I checked my pulse on the course several times and it was normal. Recommendation You bring several bottles of water. This was a mistake I made thinking since the other courses proved Easter stations Jamaica Run would also have at least one on each 9,

Course Conditions Greatly Improved
Last September, the course conditions were among the worst I have ever experienced. Our group swore off ever playing there again. Because of a promo, I called last week to ask if the course conditions had improved and was assured that they had. We played there yesterday and were pleasantly surprised that conditions were MUCH improved. Jamaica is back in our course rotation. Great job, Jamaica staff!!

Greens were not cut and it took over 5 hours to play. A number of tee boxes were under repair. Staff was superb though

Pace and Organization Issues
Cost was on point, 27 for 18 and a cart. Not much available in pro shop, snack bar was moved outside and had what you needed as well as a course beverage rider. However, there was no monitoring of play and pace. Many fast groups of 2, extremely slow groups of 4 and 5 and a league that wasn’t spoken about when given direction at the beginning of our round. We allowed a group to play through, then at the turn had 3 groups in front of us and we were give the advice to jump a couple holes if we don’t mind losing them and that apparently angered a league player who felt the need to share that and that she was also an employee of the course, she didn’t present herself or the club well. Course had minor condition issues as well.
Embarrassing
I have played this course before, and quit playing due to conditions. I decided to give it a try again. Not again. If you’re looking to just drink and screw around on a course this is your course. $27 and you pay for what you get. I was going on 4 hours at the 13th tee box and quit. The tee boxes had long grass in them. Greens were in good shape, about the only thing good about the course. Will never play here again

Pace of play was VERY SLOW>
2 Players should not take 5 hours to play 18 Holes. Group in front never offered to let us play a head.
Not fun to play around and have to wait on every shot.

Great Pairing - Slow Play
The day was beautiful but the pace of play was slow. Course was short staffed and didn’t have a ranger. Layout is challenging and course was beautiful.
Was paired with a Father, Son and Daughter through GolfNow… we had a great time! Made the waiting on each hole bearable.
