Twin Run Golf Course

About
Twin Run Golf Course is a municipal course in Hamilton, recognized for being the third best city in Ohio for golf, and one of the top 100 in the country. The course is popular for its affordable rates and the challenging but playable layout. At just over 6,500 yards from the back tees, it is not an overly long course but it offers some fairly difficult holes. The fairways are very player friendly though, providing some room for error, but accuracy should still be a priority. The layout is diverse enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. It is not too intimidating for beginners but it's still a fun round for better players. Twin Run G.C. is known for being one of the area's best values, especially when you take into account the excellent conditions on the greens and fairways.

Good Course
Course is well taken care of and enjoyable to play.
Pleasant Surprise
I was looking for a quick round of golf and spotted a terrific GN rate. The course was in great shape. While the rough was bare and burned in a few places, the fairways were lush and green. The greens were rolled and true. The course is an interesting combinations of different kinds of holes. I played as a twosome and the course of play was good as we only occasionally had to wait on shots. 18 holes took about 3:45.
2nd time in two weeks
Great condition. Pace was great. Layout very friendly. Shot an 83 last week and pushed an 8 foot birdie putt for a 79 this time. Short course, reachable par 5’s overall great course.
A must play
First time I’ve played this course, the staff was super friendly. The course conditions were great from the tee boxes to the green's. I play at least a couple times a week and I enjoy playing new places. Pretty open fairways only a couple holes with water which I like. Course is long from the back and middle tees so if you’re not a big hitter off the tee not to worry they have a set of front tees that will accommodate you too. Overall I really enjoyed my first time playing here and will be back for sure. Thanks again to all the staff, job well done!!
The course has a good layout with attractive and challenging holes. What I liked the best was how peaceful the course is! no road noice super quit! Which is hard to find. The only thing I would change is going with electric golf carts to eliminate the engine noice!
Will definitely be back
Most public courses this time of year are in rough shape. Tee boxes are atrocious, greens are scarred from the sun and those old guys who can’t lift their feet up. From tee to green was in great shape. Pace of play was just less than 4 hours. My group averaged around 82 so we were not lighting up the score card but we’re moving quickly. Never had to wait for group ahead of us. For someone who has never played here before. Very forgiving driver holes. Open fairways and rough. There are a few “target” hole par 4’s but great scoring opportunities. We played blues and every par 5 we reached in 2. If you’re a longer hitter, blacks is probably ideal tee box.
Can't go wrong here
If you want to play golf on a great muni that the Hamilton Parks department does a great job at maintaining and improving, this is it. Weekend golf can be a bit slow but its the weekend, it happens most places.
Best condition
This has been the best year for this courses condition. Being up on the hill makes it dry enough to be off the path even after rainy days.
First time can’t wait to go back.
The tee boxes were easy to push a tee in. The greens were receptive with a good speed. The fairways are soft and taking a divot is easy The pace was fine . Teed off at 9 finished by 12:30. Shot a 77 from the Blue. I will go back looking to improve on my score now that I have seen the layout.
Good shape
Best shape I've played it over the years. Great value. Being on a hill most times it's dry enough to be off the path.
Hidden Gem!
Nice little course in Hamilton, very well taken care of. Pretty wide open layout with super small greens. Great price point
