Seven Hills Country Club

This was one of my favorites in the Akron Canton area. It had a great layout with some rolling terrain, modern built up undulating greens and good conditions.

I enjoyed the peacefulness of the course. There was barely anyone there which was wonderful. I took my time and was able to really focus on each shot without any worry about pace. The layout is wonderful. My only gripe would be the greens are pretty torn up in various areas and for $55, that’s too steep. I would have enjoyed a nice hotdog or even a cold sandwich but my option was a candy bar. Will return again if the weather holds on.

There were like 20 people in line complaining about overlapping times and almost every green is burnt and dead

I've been playing here for 30 years and today was the worst shape I have ever seen. Greens are burned out or have a disease, bunkers were wet and not raked and tee boxes were bad. I know they have new owners and I hope they spend the money to bring it back to a great course. This used to be the premier public course in the area but today it was just average. For $55 there are better values in the area.

A few of the greens were in bad shape, nothing like the condition they used to be in. Country clubs were jealous of the condition of this course back in the day. Still great layout but new owner needs to get those right. Nothing will kill a course quicker than bad greens.

The course itself has lots to offer, water, trees, sand traps, doglegs. However, every green on the front 9 was almost impossible to putt. Very little grass and lots of dirt. Looks like it has been let go, with weeds growing around clubhouse and all of the flowerbeds. Has potential to be very nice. Just needs a few years of TLC.

Course is improving every round. New owner seems dedicated to making it great! I will be back soon

First time at this course. Pace was really good. Course is nice. Challenging layout. In good shape. Greens were a little rough and patchy. Layout/contour of greens were difficult, in our opinion. Overall, we had a really enjoyable day. Will try to play it again now that we know better what to expect.

Club house is half updated. Carts are trash. The range is a collection of cracked golf balls and old flags stuck at random yardages. Most tee boxes have a peak in the middle. Fairways and rough are all uneven. Some parts cut, some grown out. Poor drainage. 1-3 greens are in terrible shape, mud patches and dead spots. They do get a little better on the back, but half of the greens you’re putting in and out of dead spots. Overall not worth remotely what they charge.
