Ellsworth Meadows Golf Club

Nice practice facilty - friendly staff, excellent food and beverage - course is in great shape, greens in excellent condition, not super fast, but roll true. Already booked my time for next weekend.

On a cool windy day 2 of played at 7:44 am. Course was in great shape and we played without any stoppage. Chipping and putting areas are excellent along with the range. Staff is always helpful. Can beat Ellsworth for the price and conditions.

I was a single and paired with another single. It turned out to be the most enjoyable and relaxing round I ever had. He gentleman I golfed with was a very gracious person and I would play another round with him. He staff was friendly and helpful. The pace was slow due to a foursome playing from the tips that shouldn’t been. The group held us up and wouldn’t let us play through. Other then that I scored a 87 and it gave me confidence for this Sunday’s outing I have.

Overall, the course was in great shape. However, we teed off early (6:30) and had maintenance crew members on every hole from 1-18. I don't mind having mowers and carts on the course. However, when the people operating those mowers/carts demonstrate absolutely no consideration for my presence on the course, they become an annoyance. Furthermore, on more than half the holes, the tee markers had not been placed. I understand that maintenance has to be performed on the golf course. But, for the sake of the golfers, please figure out a way to finish maintenance on the first 4-5 holes before sending out groups.

Lastly, I'll never understand why people are allowed to walk on the weekend, particularly on a holiday when traffic on the course is high. If people want to walk later in the afternoon, that's fine. But sending off walkers during peak morning hours doesn't make any sense.

Again, overall, a great course and a great value. A few minor tweaks would make it a terrific experience.

Been playing here for a couple of years. Well established golfer with low handicap, but one of their starters discriminates against women constantly. Even more upsetting, I am a taxpayer for the course. I was denied access to play since 3 men from Twinsburg would not play with a women even though I had waited 30 minutes. This is community course, if you don't want to be paired with someone, either get 4 people or wait until there are no more singles that are waiting to play. The starter though allowed this discrimination to occur unchecked. Offered me to play on my own in the middle of foursomes on a slow day, this is not the first time this has happened here.

I am a very well established golfer in the state and wonderful person to play with. But because I am female, the starter at Ellsworth treats me differently. Last year, one their starters was very nice and I had no issues. The staff seems to know this rude starter is an issue. Please let him go and hire someone else.

I could not get my money back after being embarrassed by this incidence either, only a rain check which is not going to be used. I will no longer visit or endorse any courses which allow their staff to discriminate against any golfers. Enough is enough.

Very nice course! I would highly recommend. The first two holes are boring but once you get past that there are many challenging holes! Some good water holes. This course could pose problems for golfers who have a hard time keeping the ball in the fairway.

Great course. Beautiful conditions. Fun layout. Plenty challenges. Nice water holes. Get out and play it!

Paid $30 via golf now and the value was well worth it. Fun course, good shape. Definitely want to play again.

Had a very good time with the challenge and beauty of this course. It is becoming one of the nicest course in the greater Cleveland area!

After playing a number of comparable, better public courses, these were the best greens of the season.

Ellsworth Meadows is one of the more enjoyable experiences you'll encounter with regards to Golf.

My friend and I decided to play here on our drive back to Rocky River from the Bridgestone Invitational. I had played here before (two years ago) but my friend had not.

We we're impressed with the condition of the Course considering that a lot of precipitation had fallen over the preceding days, which often times inhibits maintenance and repair. The Greens were in Excellent condition and they rolled true to your line and in my opinion, they are some of the nicest and well maintained Public Course Putting surfaces in NE Ohio!

No two holes are the same and the subtle elevation changes make this layout challenging, fair and fun.

There is a practice area for Putting and Chipping, as well as a Range with Target Greens to brush up on your game pre/post Round.

Every staff member who we encountered was helpful, professional and amiable.

I would recommend and encourage anyone to play Golf here......and if you don't enjoy it, you need to look no further than a mirror for the reason why!

I really enjoyed this course. It was my first time here and there were no lines no back ups the course is in great condition the greens are challenging and I will certainly be back.

Enjoyable course. Greens were in excellent condition. Layout is quite nice with a few water holes but overall fairly open such that missing fairways does not result in sever penalty. Pace of play was excellent and again the greens rolled perfect. Definitely worth playing and I will return

Overall the course is a good layout. the greens were slow play was extremely slow the back tees are not set up with all the overhanging trees the restrict your swing path. Cart paths need a lot of and the course does not drain.

Course was in excellent shape for late October. Greens were super fast so make sure you stay below the hole on #'s 2, 3, 7, and 13. Love going for the green on 17 in two.

Prior to booking and playing I inquired about pace of play and was told 4 hr to 4 hr 15 min. Actually they slipped a group ahead of us and we got off late then it took 2 1/2 hours to play 9 holes. After 4 hrs and 15 min we were only on 14. The ranger was smug and not helpful quote "what do you expect, this isn't a country club". We left after 14 to go to a prearranged business meeting.
