About
Fox Hollow Golf Course in Somerville sprawls across acres of rolling woodlands, offering dramatic elevation changes throughout the par-70 layout. Designed by local designer Hal Purdy, the abundant trees and hilly terrain have been deftly incorporated into the course. Originally built in 1967, the golf course was completely redesigned in 2000 to make it more challenging while at the same time improving its playability. Since its renovation, it has garnered a local following but it is still one of the better kept secrets of Somerset County, making it likely that golfers will be able to play the golf course regardless of the day or time. In addition to the course, there is also a practice facility with a grass driving range, a bunkered practice green, and an expansive putting green. One reason Fox Hollow G.C. is a popular choice, besides the enjoyable layout, is the affordability it offers.

Tough course
Really have to know how to play when coming here. Far from a beginner’s course
Great Day
Three of us played this course for the first time. We were paired with a club member was very friendly and very helpful explaining course layout and shot selection. The course was beautiful, interesting and challenging. I would definitely play this again, and often.
Always a fun course to play
Fox Hollow is always fun and a great value. The course has a lot of elevation changes, hitting over water on a few holes, and is generally very well maintained. The staff was very friendly and even bought one of us a beer when they heard there was a birthday. Greens are fast and challenging, but Fox Hollow is always fun!
Great course, we'll maintained
Played here for the second time. Definitely a tougher course than some of the other ones around like green knoll, East orange or royce brook. Definitely fun and very well kept! Would recommend for lower handicaps!

Went on a kind of warm day. It was a absolute pleasure to be there and play. Course was in outstanding shape. We will be back and certainly recommend to a friend . . .
Good day on the course
I have played this course a few times over the past few years. The course used to be in Fair condition.
This time the course was in good condition. The greens rolled true. The fairways were in good shape.
We did have a pace of play issue towards the end of the round but a course marshall was on it and working to get it back on pace. Nice to see.
Just a small observation. It was a busy day and the starter had twosomes sandwiched in between foursomes. I would have combined them to even things out.
I will definitely play the course again
Outstanding
Not many people playing as it was on the 90s and the middle of the day. The course was in fantastic shape. Greens were fast would play here once a week if I could. WILL BE BACK for sure.

Over 5hr round. Blue tees were with the white tees at each tee box. Greens were fast.
Fathers Day Outing
Good course I’ve played there before. The greens roll nicely and overall conditions are mostly good sometimes fair. Didn’t wait much and had a good time with my son. Range available.
