Fox Hollow Golf Course in Somerville sprawls across acres of rolling woodlands, offering dramatic elevation changes throughout the par-70 layout. Designed by local designer Hal Purdy, the abundant trees and hilly terrain have been deftly incorporated into the course. Originally built in 1967, the golf course was completely redesigned in 2000 to make it more challenging while at the same time improving its playability. Since its renovation, it has garnered a local following but it is still one of the better kept secrets of Somerset County, making it likely that golfers will be able to play the golf course regardless of the day or time. In addition to the course, there is also a practice facility with a grass driving range, a bunkered practice green, and an expansive putting green. One reason Fox Hollow G.C. is a popular choice, besides the enjoyable layout, is the affordability it offers.

Not value for miney
Greens and bunkers were in good shape and interesting. Course generally not very pretty or well maintained.
Expensive for a weekend round, I wouldn’t consider it value for money compared to other courses in the area.
Great course
Always love playing the course, never disappoints. Always a tough test and greens were fast. Only issue we ever have is it needs more water stations, Warm or hot days it’s tough without a few water stations.
challenging
Course was in decent shape. Rough was thick. If you got into, made additional approach shots difficult. Course is hilly so you can be at odd lies frequently. Pace of play was a little slow but expected as it was a beautiful pre-Memorial Day weekend round. Foursome if front of us were hitting from blue tees and had no business doing so. Told starter at 9 and he didn't want to be bothered.
Clubhouse has drinks where you pay. There was a nice little BBQ area going on for food at turn. Hamburger was great.
Nice course, great shape !
Fox Hollow has always been a favorite of my group. The greens and fairways are always in very good shape. The bunkers have a good quality sand, and are always well raked. The course is very well landscaped and presents a beautiful appearance. It is by no means an easy course, but quite challenging with a nice variety of holes, The staff is very pleasant and the restaurant has a nice selection of food and drins.
Hilly but fun
very good conditions hilly and challenging. some areas a little wet but generally nice spring conditions
Stern yet Fair test of golf
Very friendly staff with a challenging layout.
This is a true test of golf. Food at the restaurant afterwards was near excellent and moderately priced.

Shaggy rough
We played here a couple of times last year. Pretty tough course ( I know my limits) Some elevated greens, sloping fairways, but this week the rough really put a dent in my game. Definitely needs to be trimmed. Will play there again have to play target golf.
Friday afternoon
The course was in great shape after all the rain. The greens were okay with the grass still not growing in after aeration. Some tricky bumps but overall great shape. Will play again soon.
Great surprise
Its better than the pictures and a value for the money. Our foursome were all taking about how good this course was. It speed down on the back nine but it was the best Friday in months so expectedly busy.
