About
Fox Hollow Golf Course in Somerville sprawls across acres of rolling woodlands, offering dramatic elevation changes throughout the par-70 layout. Designed by local designer Hal Purdy, the abundant trees and hilly terrain have been deftly incorporated into the course. Originally built in 1967, the golf course was completely redesigned in 2000 to make it more challenging while at the same time improving its playability. Since its renovation, it has garnered a local following but it is still one of the better kept secrets of Somerset County, making it likely that golfers will be able to play the golf course regardless of the day or time. In addition to the course, there is also a practice facility with a grass driving range, a bunkered practice green, and an expansive putting green. One reason Fox Hollow G.C. is a popular choice, besides the enjoyable layout, is the affordability it offers.

Pace was pretty slow.
They were crowded Saturday. Unfortunately the group in front of us had a short hitter playing the tips and the group in front of them had a beginner that seemed pretty inconsiderate and kept picking up balls he found on course. Once was a ball I drove over a the corner of the fairway onto the car path. Twice he took a ball from one of my friends in our group.
All this was going on with no sign of a ranger, by hole 15 I was informed apparently the Ranger decided to hop on the course and was busy playing a round. Hope that wasn’t true hahaha.
It was a little over 5hrs to finish 18, fairways were fast and driver friendly, but the greens were hard, fast, and the pins were placed in the hardest positions possible. Bravo to the maintenance team!
Beauty and the beast
This course was in great condition. If only my golf game was too. Difficult course but if you can take it the bull by the horns its a fun course
